Bitches in Season and Trials
Started By
I've competed in many agility venues for years now - AKC, UKC, USDAA, CPE, UKI, and TDAA. Except for a few rare cases, bitches in season cannot run in trials.

Already on ala, pregnant and ill dogs cannot compete. In order to make the game more realistic, I propose that we also prevent in-heat dogs from competing.

This would have a few benefits to the site as a whole. As it stands, the high-TP (think Monsters) trial dogs can be bred quite often, resulting in more of these dogs. If the females were unable to trial in heat, it would encourage the spaying of these dogs, and reduce the number of puppies flooding the site - I also know I see a lot of these dogs retired or pounded because the pups don't sell.

In addition, we have a major inflation problem. If a handler chose to keep their females intact, excluding items, they would be unable to trial one in six days. The goal would be for this to help increase the value of the Ala$, and start to bring inflation back down.

TL;DR, In order to make the game more realistic, decrease overpopulation of dogs, and improve the sitewide inflation, make bitches in season unable to trial.

I understand wanting to get a grip on inflation, but as many others have pointed out, this game is FAR from realistic. <br /> <br /> Glitched dogs, invisible dogs, etc. Magical items of ALL sorts. This games is so far from being realistic it isn't even funny. <br /> <br /> I feel other changes can happen, without restriction on dogs who enter the shows. This game will never become realistic, so that being one of the reasons for this to be supported should not be.

There are rainbow colored dogs on this site. I don't think it's very realistic anyway. I don't trail my dogs anyway, but I think inflation could be fixed easier by overhauling the monetary system, and allowing a higher fixed 'pet home' price. If people could make more money that way, they wouldn't have to be extortionists. Do not support.

No, why do so many people have it in for capped dogs, that is all I have, and it takes me a very long time to max one, so why should I be punished? I have NEVER put one of my dogs in the pound, I breed very little, but some people breed to much, they post must get rid of pups asap due to more litters to be born, Those are the people clogging up ala!

Allie - I don't meant to seem like the amount of cash any dog earns in a trial will go down. <br /> <br /> If a dog ran in a trial, they will earn the same amount of money they always did for that placement and trial level. <br /> <br /> The drop in earnings only comes because the dog can't run in trials - excluding item usage - one in six days.<br /> <br /> To Kiritine, that still helps keep money in circulation, as the biscuits would have to be purchased, and I /believe/, could be wrong, but I believe the only place to do this is by buying bones or through the rare item exchange. <br />

Oh a few people mentioned it, Allie. That's why I was thinking I was crazy and needed to go to the eye doctor xD. <br /> <br /> No worries. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something =)

Rav, Vision,<br /> <br /> Sorry for the confusion! I must've misread something myself! Apologies, loves. Please discard the area of where I talk about the prize cash.<br /> <br /> So, yes, I support this, vision. =)<br /> <br /> <br /> -Allie

Where does it say anything about lowering prize cash for TP monsters? I'm not seeing this in the suggestion at all. Can someone point it out? If it's not eve being proposed, why is it being brought up? I apologize if I am somehow missing it in my reading of the original post. <br /> <br /> "no support we're talking about a site where dogs can be given magical biscuits to get their private parts back, and of the opposite gender. what's to stop someone from using a sex change biscuit on a bitch to turn it to a dog so they can get around that ? and then just change it back when they want to breed her."<br /> <br /> Biscuits aren't exactly cheap. If a person absolutely wanted to do this, it would take a bit of cash to do so. I see nothing wrong with this. =)

Vision,<br /> <br /> I absolutely agree that a dog shouldn't be able to trial while in heat. <br /> <br /> However, I'm on the fence about lowering the amount of prize cash a 'monster' can win from trails. As said by another user, it would seem slightly unfair due to us, as players, who use loads or TS for a decently long amount of time to max them in order to be able to receive the possible amount of cash of winning a trail.<br /> <br /> Personally, I've recently been moving towards capped dogs to help myself earn some cash here and there. Therefore, I don't think changing the amount of cash earned would be very pleasing.... Take it into a past tense manner- users who have already have capped dogs, have gained large amounts of cash for their kennel already- by lowering the prize amount, that would be taking that cash away (x amount) from users who are getting into caps. Ultimately, it would just seem slightly unfair.<br /> <br /> (I sincerely hope the above text makes sense). (:<br /> <br /> Regarding the abolishment of allowing a female dog in heat to compete, I absolutely agree. Females in heat shouldn't be allowed to trail.<br /> <br /> Hearing a response from you would be highly appreciated, my friend. &lt;3 (:<br /> <br /> <br /> -Allie

The effects would be /to all dogs/. The effect would fall on all players who trial. Monsters were brought up only because they are the ones who are adding huge amounts of money to the economy - customs and foundation dogs would not be able to compete while in heat, with the same effect. The same percentage of income loss would be applied to each dog. Obviously, however, a dog with 9000 TP brings in more income than one with 900 - which is why they were specifically mentioned. The end goal of this is to IMPROVE THE ECONOMY AND DECREASE INFLATION. Knocking out a few foundation dogs only is not going to have that effect. <br /> <br /> Do not get caught up on the semantics, focus on the goal.

So you dont think the monsters shuold get the same calculations other dogs get when trialing? They should be reduced? Thats fair how? Anyone can get a monster. Anyone can use up all their training sessions for 3 or 4 months training one. I still dont see what the problem is.<br /> <br /> If I put the time and effert in then i should get the rewards behind it. The fact you brought up monsters spacificly to me is just wrong i could have supported this but i dont because it seems more like another way to try and keep them from trialing since its centered around them.

I mention monsters because these are the dogs who can earn around $100,00 in a day at trials. As the goal is to REALISTICALLY reduce money created in trials, that is why I mention monsters.

sorry dont support, i work very hard to get my monsters trained. Why is it when you menchioned this your first thought was monsters? Also this would only really help male dogs and they would become more desirable. I could have a male monster trialing and im sure someone somewhere would try and think of a reason as to why he shouldnt be able to run.
