Welcome to Alacrity, breyercrazy! I'm part of the Newbie Helper team here on Ala and I'm going to help get you started :)
First, make sure to find the time to read the Rules and TOS at the bottom of the page, then, wander to "Help" and watch the Videos there. That section also can answer many of your questions and has links to other pages including the Alacrity Wiki page with more helpful guides.
Any questions you can't find the answer to, you can submit to the Issue Hub, found under "Help Alacrity". Just send it to the "Newbie Helpers" and we'll answer it ASAP!
There is one more thing you should definitely check out: the Newbie Raffle! All you have to do is answer a few basic questions about the FAQ, Rules, or such and you have a chance to win prizes! These prizes include maxed dogs, backgrounds, generally useful items, and even some rares :D And, what's better, one of the prizes is cash, too! So, please be sure to check that out and thank all the Newbie Helpers, mods, and users who made it possible :)
If you find yourself running low on food, there is a Newbie Food Pantry available! If you fit and want to receive your 20 items of food, send a nice message Three Whispers (#7424) and she'll send them to you ASAP!
