Maximum Ride RP ~The Other Story~
Started By
This RP is already in progress please do not post any replies within this thread if you are not part of the RP!! You are more than welcome to read and enjoy. Thank you :3

Story Plot:

Somewhere out on the California coastline lays a secret base. It's in plain view, yet no one knows what goes on there. The scientists who run the place have been rushing about. Gathering data, whispering among themselves keeping information hush hush. Causing some worry among other groups living within the base. Mainly the experiments who often have to deal with the white coats--scientists--daily.

Something was surely up. Especially when the Erasers are minding their manners. For several days this has been going on. Until a strange calmness filled the building. The next morning the Erasers hulled off several of the experiments. Few were loaded into armed vans while others were taken elsewhere in the building.

Our character(s) were the ones being transported. To where we don't know. Why? That's also a mystery. That's something we will all find out soon, for now let us hope that we survive to see tomorrow!!

Things We Need to Know:

This RP will be taking place in North America. Where they will end up depend on our replies. Our characters will be traveling mostly within the Pacific Area (California, Oregon, Washington etc). From there will travel east. Along the way Erasers and white coats will be hunting us down. To avoid being found they will keep themselves out of site unless supplies are needed. Or certain situations will force them to enter populated areas.

In the meantime, our characters will get a chance to get know one another. It maybe a good thing or a bad thing. Who knows!? Our characters will learn new skills, meet new people and find things about themselves they never knew about. As well as to why the white coats, Erasers and bird kids exist!

Mutant Bird Kids: 98% human, 2% avian (bird). Bone structure is lighter enabling them to fly, heavier bones would have proven to be a problem. Their wings are quite large. When stretched out they appear longer than their body. Example: Bird Kid height- 5'6" Wing Span: Roughly 14 feet. On some occasions the mutations within the bird kid evolve causing them to gain new abilities such walking through walls, turning invisible, talking to animals etc.

Erasers: Human-wolf hybrids. Most of the time they take on human form but when on the attack or on the hunt they'll appearance takes on a more wolfish look. Almost like you modern day werewolf. Almost all of them have nasty jerk like personalities. A handful have the thirst for blood. Erasers are the White Coats lackeys. So trusting one of them is a high level risk, better to avoid.

White Coats: Scientist who enjoy experimenting on other humans. They have labs all across the globe, most hidden some in plain sight. Not all White Coats are evil beings, some are out to help improve the world's existence yet those who they poke and probe don't see it that way. In any case all are crazy in the head.

Zachary landed softly within a small nestle of trees. Before he released me he asked if I could walk. I nodded then he let me go. I stood there feeling slightly now that I was out of his arms. My wings were throbbing, the pain was gone. They just felt irritated. This was troublesome. I let my wings drop a little to relax the tension. Before the subject gets brought back up I decided to take a walk.

I can hear a small stream nearby. It was getting warm now that the sun had risen. The water maybe chilly but I'll dry off in no time. I didn't say a word to Zachary. Hopefully he'll understand I just wanted space. The stream was settled behind a set of trees. There was small bank I had to jump down off of to reach the water. Other than that if anything happened both of use were just a few steps away from one another.

I looked around a little to be sure I wasn't followed. Sighing in relief I removed my shirt carefully. My shoulder wound wasn't deep. It ached when I moved it. Also, seeing how clear the water was its perfect to use to clean wounds and bathe oneself. I knelt down at the waters edge cupping water with the hand on my good arm rubbing it onto my wound. I looked at the water carefully. It appeared deep enough to be able to wade around in.

I kicked off my shoes, took off my shorts then walked right into the water. Until the water reached until my hips. The coldness made me shiver but it felt so nice. I lowered myself further in until the water reach up to my neck. Drowning my sorry wings. Chilling my wings helped the throbbing. But I don't think I will be able to fly again today. Safer for me and Zachary if we walked. Even though I hated the idea.

After about ten minutes wading around I decided it was time to get out. Before I get I dunked my head under before walking out. I pulled my pony tail out twisting my hair to get most of the water out. Then I got dressed soaked in all. After I got my clothes back on I flapped my wings a little to dry them off. Sure enough when I did so that one wing gave a painful pitch zipping through it. Feeling it I stopped. I picked up my shoes then made my way back to Zachary.

Not knowing what was ahead I figured maybe Zachary could fly has high as he could to see what laid east beyond the woods. If he could see passed the woods. I don't really know how huge this place is. But with his hawk like vision he might be able to spot something. If there was a town nearby that be great. We can sneak some much needed supplies. Even though I am against stealing. Having no money meant... we would have to steal. Then so be it.

Zachary was still where I left him. Seeing how he waited patiently made feel kinda happy. This guy might turn out be a good friend after all. He seems nice enough. So why am I now just realizing this now. Slipping my shoes back on I told Zachary my plan.

"Can you fly up to see if you could spot a town. I know that it is risky but we need supplies. When you something tell me please." I said grinning lightly.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kedron sat quietly at one end of the diner sipping his coffee. He eyed the people who came and gone. Waiting for a certain someone. But that person was late. He was never late. Part of him was glad that he didn't have to speak with the person. Kedron wasn't frightened by many things. But that person... Something about him gave him chills. To the point he would follow any order given by that man.
He gave his boss a few more before placing two bucks on the table to pay for his coffee. He grabbed his leather jacket before leaving the diner. As he left four men walked in. They were talking quietly to themselves about what they had saw out in the woods. Kedron with super wolf like hearing heard everything. Teenagers, a boy and a girl out in the woods alone. But that wasn't all. They could fly.
A wicked grin appeared on Kedron's face now understanding why his boss wasn't here. He was off trying find those two. Kedron could go out looking for them. If they were still within the area. Though if he did, he would have to contact the boss. So for now he's going to let them slide. If orders were passed onto him then that would be a totally different story. Kedron walked down a few blocks before disappearing into the library. He felt like reading to pass the time away since had the free time to do so at the moment.
Her face was red. I wasn't too sure why. I probably made her feel embarrassed. Well at least it's better then seeing her fall out of the sky and possibly die from it. She kept her arms on her face. Uh.. it's fine. We all make mistakes. She didn't answer me right away. Maybe she fainted?
After a couple of minutes her hands went down from her face. "I'm Alright. My wing are just tired. Can you please land, and let us take a few minutes to rest before heading out again?" I nodded. I didn't quite understand why she pushed herself. We weren't running away anymore. At least not from what I could tell.
She hugged me closer. I didn't mind. If it was going to make her feel relaxed then by all means she could go right ahead. I found a clear space. And decided it was the best spot to land. I landed. "Can you walk right?"
Of all things that could go wrong went wrong. I shouldn't have pushed myself like I did and now I am going to be even more injured but of my relectness. My arms were still folded over my head as I fell. It felt like eternity. The pressure I felt as I fell engulfed me. Until it suddenly vanished. I felt a jolt of something or someone catching me. I felt warmth or being held tightly. My cheeks reddened realizing what had happened. I refused to move my arms down away from my face embarrassed.
"Are you ok? What happened? Are you hurt?" Zachary asked me. Concern wavered in his voice.
I didn't reply right away. I was too mad at myself to admit that I made a mistake. Finally I pulled my arms away from my face wrapping them around Zachary's shoulders. Resting my head down onto his chest. I told myself that this was a hug, I just didn't want him to drop me suddenly.
"I'm alright." I finally began to say. "My wings... are just tired. Can you please land let us take a few minute rest before heading out again?"
Thinking about it maybe I had injured my wings during the car crash the day before. It's possible they might be bruised. That could explain why they are straining to quickly. I just hope my quick mutant healing ability will take care of the problem. Before anything else happens.
We were in the air now. I saw below some guys. I frankly didn't care if they were hunters or White Coats dressed as them, I wasn't going to ask them who they were. They have guns, so to me they were just as bad as the White Coats.
The thought of humans being interested in us made me smile. Stupid. Just like the White Coats. Stupid questions would always be asked. "Do having wings hurt?" or "Can I get them too?" (sigh) I wasn't too happy with humans. Never liked them either. Like I said before they are stupid.
More bullets where being shot at us. I hope they come down back at you, and you all die. I wasn't too sane. I never was. Dodging the bullets I looked at Winter. Maybe she had a clue where we would be heading.
I caught her looking at me. I didn't have a clue what she was thinking. Defiantly something I need to get used to. She gave me a serious look and kept going forward. Yepp. Totally going to love this. (Sigh) I flapped just as hard to keep up.
We were out of harms way. At least that's what it looked like. I was a little more relaxed, until I saw Winter falling. I didn't wait to go after her. Friends or not, I wasn't going to let her fall. I grabbed her from her waist and pulled her close to my chest. I gave hard flaps to keep both of us from falling. "Are you ok? What happened? Are you hurt?" She looked like she was still falling.
I peered at the ground to see if I could spot the gun owners. It was hard to see them but there were around four adult male firing at us. They were wearing camouflage gear. So, my guess was they were probably out hunting or something else that we maybe may have stumble upon. Or they feared that we would hence the attempted kill shots.
I was a little curious to what theses guys were up too. I doubt if they were out hunting they'll be shooting at us. More like run off scared or idol us. There are too many possibilities when it comes to the human mind what one may think up. I can only imagine what thoughts the White Coats come up with they are experimenting on animals and people alike.
As I hovered above a bullet whizzed passed my nose, realizing then and there their aim was starting to get better. They are quick to getting use to different shouting angles. Almost military-like or they're just gun fanatics. Either way it was time for us to fly east once again.
I looked at Zachary to be sure he was alright. Seeing him watching me made me feel all fluttery inside. A feeling I had felt only once in my life when I was a child. Then things didn't turn out so well after having this sweet feeling. I didn't say a word but I did give him a serious look. Before turning back around. With a few flaps of my wings I lead the way east.
Flying fast and hard to avoid the four men to follow us. I had forgotten all about my wound and how sore my wings were still feeling. It wasn't until I felt a sharp pain throbbing though one of my wings I realized I had pushed myself too hard. A cramp in a wing if ignored wasn't good. Which I did. After flying for two more minutes my wings gave way. Within an instant I crashed landed towards the trees. I folded my arms over my head to protect it knowing I only had a few seconds before impact.
03-19-2015 at 8:56 PM
I was awake. A bullet was shot, I looked around panicked to see if it had hit me. But no wound was made. Winter seemed to be frozen. I would have done something, but another bullet was shot. This time it grazed her. She closed her eyes, but the bullet passed her.
I couldn't say thank you because honestly she didn't wait for it. In an instant she was walking. She looked around, and I guess she found what she looked for. "Take Flight!" She yelled. She didn't wait for me to answer. Of course. I heard voices behind me. "Stop right there!" I didn't wait to hear more. I took off.
I was following Winter's trail, only to learn that going straight upward wasn't ideal. Either way, those people where bad at aiming. Good thing they suck. I kept going forward. I wasn't going to die. Not when I was this far. I was just hoping Winter was alright.
03-18-2015 at 3:06 PM
A bullet whizzed by. It missed but it was too close for comfort. My heart raced, my mind zipped images in my head trying to map out the best solution. My body wanted to move, I wanted to move yet I can't. Zachary was finally up on his feet when another gun shot echoed through the air.
I pushed him out of the way without thinking. The bullet zipped passed my shoulder, grazing it lightly. I gritted my teeth it hurt but this is nothing compared to what I endured most of my life. I heard shouting in a distance. I didn't recognize any of the voices. They sounded upset. This was a flight or fight situation, so there was no time for me to tone everything out to listen in to what they are saying.
"Take flight!" I order. Then I took off. Taking out a few weak branches on the way up. I should have looked before flying. But there was no time. I soared well above the trees thinking the bullets won't reach me here. But boy was I wrong. Soon I stopped suddenly more bullets whistled passed me. Luckily, aiming upright didn't seem to be these guys specialty.
White Coat. White Coats everywhere. What the hell?I rubbed my eyes. I looked around. Then I noticed it was a dream. Last time I checked I had my jacket on and not a hoodie. A White Coat was near me. His voice startled me. "Hey Zacky. How are you feeling?" I looked at him. "I'm fine, I guess." He smiled at my answer. "That's great! Ready to make progress today?" I sighed. "I guess." He smiled again. "Great let's get started."
it was pretty much like the rest of the days. Poking me everywhere and then scribbling things down. "Well Zacky, you are as healthy as any 18 year old can be. Congratulations."Gee. Thanks. "Yepp." He left with a smile of his face. Another thing that made this a dream was the fact that I saw her. I recognized that copper colored pony tail anywhere. She had a pain look in her face. But who wouldn't with two Erasers being so close by.
I was about to call her when one Eraser pushed her forward. I knew instantly why she had that pain look in her face. Blood dripped down from her side. She looked closed to tears, but she kept her face composed. "Trying to escape again Winter?"said a White Coat. She didn't say anything and kept looking down. "Well, hopefully this will teach you a lesson. Escaping from here is not an option. Next time I won't stop an Eraser from ripping you to shreds." A healing White Coat cleaned her wound and she was sent back into her kennel.
Is she ok? Will she survive the night? That wound looked deadly. Why would she try to leave? I hope she's fine. My thoughts wouldn't leave me alone. They kept me up at night. I ruffled my hair. I needed to get out of here.. Fast. At least to make sure she was safe. Within time I fell asleep again.
I woke up abruptly. "Get up! It's time to leave!" The look of her face made my survival mode kick in. Not even a split second later, I heard a shot fire nearby.
03-17-2015 at 3:45 PM
The sky was still dark when I woke up. So, I wasn't sure how long I had been asleep for. Two, three hours tops possibly. The tip of my nose was cold. I rubbed at it with my pointer finger to warm it up. I was still is a daze but my senses were starting to become alert once again. I blinked my eyes to rid of the tiredness that was still lingering. I stretched out as I sat up from my sleeping position. As I did so I felt something slip off. I froze. I hope it wasn't a creepy crawly. Snakes and other animals I can handle. Bugs... eew!
I glanced down at a familiar item. A jacket. Knowing whose jacket it is I stood up quickly a bit annoyed. He shouldn't have given me his jacket. I didn't need it! Though it was nice of him to loan it to me anyways. I do hope that he didn't freeze too death because of his generosity.
I was about to toss the jacket at him when a sudden chill quivered through my body. A sign that something wasn't right. I listened for a moment before moving any further. No sounds of life, other than a few birds off in the distances singing. I turned my head slowly around to look. Nothing to see other than trees. Almost wondered if I should fly up to see if I could spot something from above. But that might alert whoever or whatever is out there.
Carefully, I walked up to Zachary. I knelt down in front of him. I stared into his face for about a minute to be sure he wasn't dead. Thankfully I could hear him snoring softly. His sleeping face looked rather cute. He certainly does look to be about my age. I could be older or maybe the other way around. I gently shook one of his shoulders to wake him up. He didn't seem to bough, so I slapped him with jacket before dropping it on his lap.
Standing up I looked down at him with my wings spread out. "Get up, it's time to leave!" Soon I said that I heard a sound of a gun firing off ever so closely.
(Note: Oh no! What will happen next!?) 8C
She gave me a weird look and wrapped her wings around herself. Well then. A simple no could have done it I shrugged. "Alright then suit yourself." Last time I try being friendly. She looked at me one more time. Was she that scared of me. Why would I try anything on her? (Sigh) Oh well.
She covered herself with her wings. Said "Good Night, Try anything, I'll break your hands." and fell asleep.I honestly didn't know what I was doing wrong. I didn't meant to threaten her. I went over where she was, put my jacket over her.Pfft. As if I didn't know when it's cold. Kinda easy to tell really.
I looked around. I wasn't feeling too comfortable. I couldn't see anything, yeah, but that didn't mean there wasn't anything dangerous out there. I stretched out. Enjoying how good it felt to be out a dog kennel. I can get used to this. I thought to myself. But I better not get my hopes up. Never know what's going to happen I watched her sleeping and it gave me a small sign of relieve. I leaned against a tree and sat down. I closed my eyes. Just for a moment. I'll rest them for 5 minutes. And I fell asleep.
03-16-2015 at 9:46 PM
As the night drew the colder I felt. I shifted on my rock chair trying to get comfortable. You would think I am use to dealing with hard uncomfortable sittings, beds etc. Your dead wrong. But one has to make do. If anything I wish to be able to stay in a hotel. Yes, I do know what that is. One things about us bird kids once we read something it sticks, though sometimes our memories aren't always triggered so easily.
There are few reasons to why I wouldn't mind being in a hotel. For one it's warm. Two I want to know if a bed can really feel like a pillow. And three in the mornings at some places there is food. Actual food! Which would awesome if there was a table of food sitting in front of me. Despite the feeling of hunger and cold I felt uneasy still.
Zachary was nearby, he was staring at me. Though after flying with him most of the day the awkwardness between us... was still there. But he's not why I felt so wary. It's almost as if... no maybe I am just imagining things. Before I think about it further Zachary offered up his jacket. Seeing that she was shivering. Then a half smile came upon his face. It almost looks forced, as though he didn't quite get how to smile.
His jacket does look warm. He was trying to be nice. Or was this some kind of ploy. Without thinking I gave him the stink eye before wrapping me wings around me, just like I have done several times before to keep warm. The feathers made a comfortable yet ticklish blanket. My seat though was starting to bother me. I slowly stood up then snuggled up on the ground next to the rock. The dirt ground was a little more patted.
"Good night." I began to say sleepily to Zachary. "Try anything, I will break your hands." With moments after threatening him I dozed off to dreamland.
Time seemed to fly fast. I wasn't tired, but that didn't mean I wanted to stay in the air for much longer. Don't get me wrong flying is awesome, but there comes a point where you need to walk on your feet. We had flown so far, I was honestly astonished to find a forest. Grass covered everything, I didn't see light below or afar, but I wasn't too comfortable. I looked around before I landed.
As I touched the floor, I wanted to check everything out before I was ok with being here. Maybe there was a camp of people far deep in the forest, or wild animals. Even though we are avian kids, we still have predators that can harm us. I looked around. Seeing the last of the sun sink. The night was fresh, nothing too cold. Or At least for me. I glanced over at the girl. Seeing her shiver. I was wondering if I should offer her my jacket. But then again maybe she would take it offensively.
I sighed. This was better then being in a dog kennel. I didn't care if it was in the middle of nowhere. I looked at her, seeing her shivering put me in a rough spot. Sigh
I.. know you are cold.. I can see you shivering. Do you want my jacket? I wasn't much of a person that smiled. But I tried adding an odd smile. I didn't want to seem intimidating. At the end it was just me and her. For now that is.
I don't remember how long we had flown. One thing was for sure my wings and shoulder blades were killing me. This was the longest I have ever flew, so I maybe overdid it a little bit. The sun nestling quietly behind some mountain peeks. I don't which mountains theses are or where I am at. If I was given a map and calculated the drive, how far we flew I could maybe pin point where we are. Not being to handle being in the sky much longer I started to slowly begun to make my way down to the ground. Luckily, we were flying over a forest. No buildings in sight, no human life. So, basically this area should be safe none the less. Hopefully we camp no where near a bears den.
Eventually, my feet touch the hard ground. My legs felt like jelly after jangling pretty much all day. I stumbled a bit to keep my footing. I rubbed my shoulders as I let my wings drop until they nearly dragged on the ground. Finding a somewhat chair like rock I plotted myself down on it. A shiver ran down my spine, goose bumps dotted my skin. Now that I wasn't moving around as much the chilly evening air reached me.
It's going to be a long night. I doubt I will get any sleep with worry about two things. One: The White Coats and Erasers are closing in on us. Two: There is a guy who I don't know anything about wandering loose. If he tries anything I will break his hands without second thought. Soon I landed he too touched ground for now he is keeping his distance.
I didn't know where we were heading. Frankly I didn't care either. I just wanted to be far away from here. I wanted to forget about all those years of pain. I wanted to forget... the pain that those needles caused me. (Sigh) It didn't matter anymore. All that matter was that I was in the air, not giving a care about the world. Well at least not right now that is.
I wasn't too afraid of the world. Most of the time the White Coats where testing us. It was all agility and testing if not needles always coming in and out of our skins. Always testing our genes or seeing if they had changed. I prefer the testing the abilities. Made me see how strong I was. Needles? I hated them. With a burning passion.
We had been on the air for a while. I kept my mind cleared, like always. Something that got me was the fact that she kept looking back. I wasn't going to disappear. Or leave anytime soon, well not unless she told me other wise. I did wonder what was going through her head. Did she not trust me? Well.. duh she didn't know me, so there was the reason.
She stopped. Maybe she heard my thoughts? Nah. That was too bizarre. Once we got to a resting place I was hoping I found things out about her.
03-14-2015 at 2:31 PM
It didn't take long for Zachary to take off from ground. Soon as he reached a good few feet from where I soared, I turned my back to him. Flapping my wings to pick up speed. I lead him East. Don't ask me how I know which way is which. It's built into me I guess. One of few perks for being a bird kid. I wanted to avoid heading West, knowing what laid there. Not only that now that we are up in the air I could see dust picking up far. Cars were headed this way. Luckily, they are far enough away to mistake us for birds. I kept looking forward, the sun behind me and a new future ahead. Excitement caused my heart to throb heavily. A huge grinned smuggled its was across my face. At some point the smile vanished, I was still happy but now a serious expression fell upon my face as a question flooded my mind.
How will we survive the within the real world? We spent most of our lives in cage after cave. Survival was bred into us dealing with all those trials, and experiments. Now that we are free no doubt they will come after us. Blending in will be difficult. And we certainly can't stay in one spot for too long. We will just have to see how things play out from now on.
We flew for several minutes. I occasionally glanced back at Zachary, he was still following. Part of me was really glad. The other part of me was still nervous about his presence. He was quiet, I figured he would be more talkative. But no, he followed without question and not only that I could feel his gaze borrowing through me.
Eventually I had to stop glancing back at him. Meeting his gaze caused me to wonder more about him. But I have yet to build the courage to ask him anything. Maybe once we finally land for some rest I'll talk to him.
I knew how to fly. Fact is, the white coats would make me fly, just to write down info. Never understood why it marvel them so. Realizing that it wasn't really hard, I easily picked up the fact that I could indeed fly. Thinking of those memories made me realize how badly we had been treated. Worse then animals that is.
I was eager to leave. At once. I wasn't too sure what I was supposed to do. I hardly remember what a sky looked like. So many things were still unfamiliar to me. I tried not to smile like a fool when I saw I had enough space to take off running and leave. I couldn't wait to feel wind in my feathers again.
I didn't know whether to ask her if she wanted to join. I couldn't stay here. I mean the smoke had cleared up some, but someone was bound to come and check what happened here. I had no plans into finding out either. I wasn't sure where I would head, just relay on pure instinct I guess. It wasn't that hard, or so I supposed.
Within minutes I saw her take a jump and her wings automatically pushed her off the ground. She had a smile that could really lighten anyone's day. She turned and faced me. I could help but feel happy that at least, we were free now. She asked Well..aren't you coming? I could tell she was trying her best to be friendly. So I then replied,
'Course I am. Didn't think it was that simple getting rid of me did ya now?
Zachary can fly. So he claims. Now I wondered to how good of a flier he is. Being locked up most of the time I rarely got to stretch out my wings. Unless it was time to test out my skills when the white coats needed further data. I wasn't terrible. I just need more wing time, in order to be able to fly longer distances. And this was a great opportunity.
I grinned thinking about flying. I wanted to take off, circle about to get a feel for the wind. Sight seeing would be totally epic from up in the sky. My eagerness ate at me. I stared into Zachary's eyes. He seems trustworthy. He hadn't done anything to me yet to prove me otherwise. Should I offer Zachary to fly with me or not? Standing here too long will cause us problems. The smoke still hung in the air.
Someone was bond to notice. Not to mention the white coats might catch a whiff of the accident. I didn't intend on being grounded this long. I thought for a minute longer before coming to a decision. I fluttered my wings a bit to loosen them up. They were a little stiff but its something I can bare with. I then looked around. Which direction should we head go for? North, south, east or west. Hard to say. If I had a map I could figure out which way would be best, for hiding purposes and getting supplies.
Oh well, any direction would work for the moment. We just need to get out of here. I turned my back to Zachary running a few steps before taking off. My wings picked up dust with the two strokes needed to left from the ground. Once I was a few into the air I turned back around to face Zachary. I stretched out my wings so I could soar in midair. There was enough up-breeze to keep me afloat.
"Well aren't you coming?" I asked giving him a friendly grin.
It was a her. Clearly. Only a few inches shorter than I was. She looked like she was ready to put a fight, but when I told her I was friendly, she relaxed. In all honesty I didn't mean any harm. I wasn't up for fight, unless it involved saving my own wings for it. She looked at me, not really sure what she was thinking, and then nodded for I guess reassurance.
I saw her looking at me. Not sure for what purpose, but if she felt more comfortable like that, I didn't mind it after all. She was shorter than me. With what looked like brown hair. Her wings were nicely colored. Rightly proportioned with her body. She was an alright looking kid, I guess if you asked me.
She claimed to be named Winter, and said she was sorry for not trusting me. That's fine with me. I don't trust that easily either. I shrugged. That's fine with me. Not like I trust you either way. So I guess we are in the same page.
She moved a bit closer to look at me. What's with the whole looking at me? It's not like I'm a freak. Ok.. maybe I am. But still. Hm.. maybe because she hasn't seen another with the same qualities as her? Maybe. Eh. Then I guess I have no reason to say anything. She moved about and finally stopped in front of me once again. Whatever suits her.
Can you fly? She asked. Of course I can fly. That's why I have wings. Duh. Isn't that kinda obvious? Stop. She's being polite. You should answer politely as well. I shrugged again. Yeah I can fly. Not a problem for me, if that's what you are wondering. I looked at her for a response.
The person approached me slowly, pausing only a second before continuing. His demeanor didn't say he was on the attack. He body wasn't tense, at move at fast pace. If he came any closer than I want him too I will throw at punch. Lucky for him he stopped a couple feet away. He then answered my question, which through me off since I never get an honest straight answer. At least I hoped he was being honest. He claims to be a friend, and his name is Zachary. For short Zacky.
Keeping my eye on him I lowered my hands back to my sides. I titled my head slightly once to one side then to the next. He was defiantly no Eraser. He didn't stink like one. Also, he was thinner than a Eraser but I could tell he was built nicely. His wings were gorgeous compared to mine. I shook my head realizing I giving him compliments. I can't believe I am already going goo goo headed over this... boy.
"The names Winter." I replied, looking away feeling a bit embarrassed. "And sorry for saying this but I don't trust you. Not yet anyways." I told him openly folding my arms.
I decided to give him one more look over. I started to slowly walk about him at close but far enough distance. Arms still folded. Both eyes on him. He was taller than me for a few inches. Which is a little annoy since I dislike being looked done upon. His wings were longer to fit his size but other than that he look normal. Well as normal as any bird kid can appear. After a full circle around I stood in front of him once again.
"Can you fly?" I asked him out of the blue. Not completely sure why I just asked him that. Though it would be a good thing to know so I won't end up flying off without him. That is if I decide to let him tag along.
I it. In the distance. Unsure of what to do next. What the hell was it doing? I shouldn't even be wondering, I should be taking off. I turned half way, but I couldn't let myself leave. If it was like me... then there was a small chance that it could know what I was, why was I here, how I was created and so forth. I took a few small steps forward.
I saw it. No... not it. Her. A female. I was sure of it. At least that what I think a female looks like. She's smaller then me. Hmm. That doesn't mean she can't defend herself. Yet again I'm not afraid to show her how it's done.Many thoughts filled my mind. I could help but notice that she was didn't have wings. Or maybe it did? How should I know. I'm just looking from afar. To take off or to see what's it got to say about itself? Heck. Let's find out
It turned slowly, and yet I didn't know how to react. Was... was she shaking? Whatever for? Not like I'm going to harm her. Well, at least I don't think I will. Not unless she picks a fight. Then I won't attack her. I shook my head, as if that could get my brain to stop processing so many questions.
After a moment of walking towards her, she stood firm. No fear to show. I kept wondering why she hadn't fled. Maybe she had the same questions as me, or maybe she didn't know anything just like I didn't. Whatever the reason was why she stayed behind, I'd find out.
Then I saw them. Wings that stretched out far. Making her look twice her size. She was just like me. Not thinking what to do I started walking again, not realizing I had stopped. There's nothing I should fear, we are the same, maybe she has answer that will answer all my questions. Maybe...just.. maybe.
I heard her say "Hello, are you a friend or a foe?" Friend or Foe. Guess I'd choose Friend, I didn't have a reason to fight her. At least not one right now. "Friend, My Name is Zachary or Zacky for short. I don't mean harm. What's your name?"
