Hey guys! Ok here is my problem. My parents say I am too young to have a cell phone. I am saving up for an iphone 4s or a 5. They keep saying how I don't understand that I have to pay like 50 bucks a month and I realize that. This year when I go to my middleschool I am gonna be like the only kid there who's not gonna have a cell phone. I want honest opinions. I am also gonna ask some questions, too. Should I listen to them and wait until they think I'm ready for a cell phone or should I save up and buy one myself? Should I buy an Iphone or should I buy another smartphone?? If I decide to buy an Iphone should I get a 4, a 4s, or a 5( when it comes out of course, lol)? Thank you for reading!

We have decided we will not buy phones for our kids i don't think they are needed at all unless you have an emergency i have a old one that i hardly ever even remember and it is terribly annoying having people be able to contact you ALL the TIME! i usually just have it turned off! I think it is very neat that you are saving up for it and i say go for it if you really want it:) lol i did not get my 1st cell until i was 21 and my parents forced me to have it! I am really old fashioned so go for it!

I bought my iPhone and pay for my bill, and I'm in my early teens. I know many people who that is the only way they could get their phone also. I pay $25 a month for the bill, because I never call, so I joined my Grandparents line for $10 a month (they already had unlimited texting) + $15 a month for the data plan.

i would wait personally ^^ i didn't have a cell phone till i was in high school. but if you really want one i would get like a prepaid one. i woudn't go straight for an iphone. i suggest a simple phone one that you can make some call snd text some but its mostly for like emergencys and such (can;t spelll XD)

I didn't get my first phone until half way through 8th grade, and technically it's my dad's phone, a Blackberry curve. <br /> I think you'll be okay if you don't have a phone x)

my little brother got his first cell phone when he was 6 so erm....make your decision by that lol! I would tell them what you think and if you are in any way phased by it. it is your decision...

in all honesty i think your ready but just get a simple touch screen go-phone for starters
