Hello and Welcome! I have some advice that should help you get settled in. :)
First off the green "I'm Confused!" Link has lots of helpful information.I highly suggest that you read it. ^_^
In the "I'm confused" there is a link to Alacrity's Wiki. The Wiki has some other info in it like what a certain companion does.
If there's an unanswered question then ask your question in the Issue Hub. A newbie Helper will answer it ASAP.
