Santa Paws: 6 Days Left: Magical Rubber Ball!
Started By
Santa Paws his holding daily drawings for special items up until Christmas! These drawings will be posted each day both here, in the news, as well as in Mini Updates/Admin Updates, at some point before midnight. There is one prize per drawing and it's completely up to chance (haha, NOT the companion!) to choose the winner. The rules are simple and they are straightforward, but they are not to be trifled with.

Read the Rules!:
1.) Post ONCE in this thread before Midnight Ala time, on the day the thread is posted in order to be entered into the drawing. (If you post more than once, you may be disqualified from the running)
2.) You may post once per account.
3.) Players found creating more than the 2 allowed accounts to enter these contests will be BANNED from Alacrity; no exceptions. Don't do it -- we hate banning people.
4.) All Alacrity standard rules still apply! If you're not familiar with them, please take some time to do so -- you can find the link at the bottom of every page!
5.) We don't care what your post says, provided you follow the above rules, although Santa Paws is also picking a secondary winner based on criteria listed at the end of this post :)

This drawing will be for: a Magical Rubber Ball

The winner will receive a brand new Magical Rubber Ball, complete with all 5 uses!

P.S. Santa Paws told me he'll pull the next round's second winner based on most interesting holiday tradition. Does your family do something fun? Do you know about an ancient, silly tradition? Post it for a chance to win! :D

Since before I was born, my parents have played a very specific song as we (my brother and I) came down the stairs/into the living room where the tree/presents were. As we'd wait at the top of the stairs with anticipation, mom had to get the camera and dad had to cue the music and turn on lights. The music group "Mannheim Steamroller's" CD (or earlier, cassette tape) played every single Christmas morning :)

Ever since I was a little girl, I loved sleeping in. Usually my little brother respected this. However, one Christmas he got so excited that he just had to come and wake me up at 5:00 AM. I, like a good sister, responded by groaning and shooing him away. He came back half an hour later and really shook me. I, like a good big sister, bit him. Therefore, it has been a holiday tradition of my families to let me sleep in until at least 8 on Christmas morning.

Every Christmas it is customary that my dog opens her stocking first. However, this year we have a new kitten, so we'll let them fight out who gets to open their stocking first. Although the cat is probably more interested in the tinsel...

In our family,we have to wait for everyone to wake up before we open presents/stockings. So every year when our teenaged brother sleeps in late,we take our 70 pound Golden Retriever and put her in his bed ; she licks him awake! (and we always love hearing his groaning after he wakes up XP)

We're Jewish, but that doesn't stop me and my mom's Christmas spirit! :D This is a pretty new tradition, starting last year, but now we put up our 'Winter Lights of Joy" (called that becausethe first year my brother was like "-_- Why do we have Christmas lights?" and we told him that they were NOT Christmas lights, that they were, in fact, Winter Lights of Joy! 8D lol)

We have our ninjachristmastree next to our front porch that we wrap with lights, too, and I've been wearing my jingle antlers to school. <3 'Cause Imma Raindeer. :)

Our llongest tradition though that I can think of is watching NORAD tracks Santa, and we still stay up, and watch peanuts and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. MERRY CHRISTMAS! <3

Every year my brothers and I fight over who gets to hang the pickle ornament. My little brother doesn't even like pickles XD

Wishing all happy holidays.

My family never was particularly creative, we would stay up late watching holiday movies and in later years participate in our street's annual luminary. Sweet and simple.
