I think there was once or twice that I need jumps for joy when a writer wrote what I expected how the characters acted and put them in situations tha were ridiculously awesome and such. *cough cough* someone who had 23 pages *cough cough*<br /><br />those people are full of greatness XD

fanfics make it seem like it takes hours...teh again I've read fics where it goes into so much detail that the word count exceeds 10k XD

No, it doesn't take forever. But it can seem like it if neither party is skilled enough to make it interesting.
