Sexual Orientation

I was just wondering, has anyone ever questioned their sexuality before?
rn\r\n
rn\r\nAnd has anyone ever tried dating someone of the same sex to see how it felt?

It's interesting how people define sexuality into neat little categories. For me it's difficult. I am female, and I consider myself to be a lesbian, however I am not attracted to society's idea of female. I am extremely attracted to androgynous females, and I myself identify as androgynous. I hate having to distinguish which gender I am, and I hate gender type-casting. I believe we are all equal, and we are all normal. Just be true to yourself and make excuses for who you are to absolutely no one.

Welp, I'm bisexual, though all of my friends tell me I'm actually probably lesbian.<br /> <br /> I've never dated a man before, and only one time in my life have I ever been sexually attracted to a man. (There are still a lot of men that I find attractive but... Just none of them seem to turn me on I guess) <br /> <br /> I've been attracted to women since I was 12ish (around the middle of grade 7) but I've only really dated one women before. I'm just more comfortable around women than I am men, and I've always been a little scared to get close to men for some reason.

That sounds an awful lot like asexual to me, Alc :) Either way, asexual, pansexual, homosexual, heterosexual, it really only matters to you and who you do (or don't) do stuff with, so don't feel like you need to apply labels to yourself, just do what you feel comfortable doing and all is good

Ah, so I figured I'd update on myself :)<br /> <br /> So, I'm trying to figure out what I am, (I know, shouldn't label myself), but I don't believe I'm able to just consider myself Heterosexual.<br /> <br /> Why?<br /> <br /> I'm not into any sort of sensual/sexual activities. No, I haven't tried them, and no, I don't want to.<br /> <br /> Having sex or making out with someone just doesn't work with me. It grosses me out (well, making out does), and sex is just a HUGE no-no for me. This doesn't mean I look at p.orn and go, "EWWW" and shut it off. Instead I just don't have a reaction to it.<br /> <br /> I've been considered by some friends to be deemed Asexual, something that I've kinda "toyed" around with earlier (I'm pretty sure there are some posts on here I mde asking about it). I do have a VERY strong preferance for males, but I honest;t don't care what's in their pants because I don't want to get inside of them, copy?<br /> <br /> It's kinda hard to explain, since I'm just discovering this about myself now. I used to think it was just a phase, but the years have gone by, and that's just who I am :)

Lesbian here. I've known since I was 12 and had a hunch since age 6 (I just didn't know what it was then). <br /> <br /> I don't care what's in a girl's pants- I've had strong attraction for trans (both pre- and post-op) and cis women alike, but I'm attracted to femininity and the female gender. Masculinity just doesn't do anything for me.

I'm gay, and it took me forever to figure it out. I dated men for the majority of my life and kept thinking "maybe this next guy will be the right one for me." Couldn't for the life of me figure out why sex made me cry and I had never had an fun time with any of my boyfriends. I met my current girlfriend and suddenly it clicked. :3

M attracted to M here. Never been into women. I like straight erotica, but I focus on the guy and wouldn't want to be in a relationship with a woman, I like dudes.<br /> <br /> There's never been a point where I doubted my sexuality at all.

I'm a lesbian and it took me years to come to terms with that. The idea of sex with a male disgusts me -- nothing against guys, just p.enis xD I can't say I've experimented with guys but hey, straight people don't need to experiment with the same gender to confirm how straight they are. And I'm happier than ever with my girlfriend <3 I don't believe in all the labels on different types of lesbians though, ie butch, 'lipstick' lesbians, etc. Taking one look at my girlfriend and I no one would assume we're lesbians due to our appearance. But to each his or her own I suppose ^_^

I think it's important for people to realize that gender and sexuality are not the same thing. Humans are basically packets of hormone soup,a nd evry aspect of our personality depends on your unique mix - and it is US who label things as male/female, us HUMANS, on stuff based on anything other than basic biology. Gener is a label. You do't really need one, but people like to categorize.

each gay person is different, like every person is different, too. Not all behave the same way.<br /> <br />

<i>"the kind of gay guy that makes you wonder if gay sterio types are real"</i><br /> Some people fit into stereotypes (that's why they're stereotypes) but I'm one of "those gay guys" who doesn't.

When I was a Freshman there was this guy that no one would talk to, so I talked to him and became one of his few friends. He was gay, the kind of gay guy that makes you wonder if gay sterio types are real, but he was so talented, so unbelieveably talented, great at almost everything(almost because no body's perfect, and cause when they passed him the football in PE class he ran the other way, but anyways, you get the point, i hope) and NICE, but ppl bullied him because of who he liked, and once I was there when it happened, so I stood up for him, and when the bully wouldn't stop, violence was the last resort, I only punched him though, but he deserved it. My friend's name was Mike, he was there for me when no one else was, he was my best friend. He was killed in a crash by a person who was texting, and you know what? They didn't seem to think they were at fault.

I never said there was ANYTHING wrong with it, I was taught that there was, but I don't believe it, people are born that way, it doesn't make them any less human at all. It's just who they are, and I freely accept that, who am I to judge them?<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Edit:<br /> misspelled taught

If they are making someone feel lower than that Clay, than they fit into the part of respect. Saying one doesn't really support it is different than saying they deserve hell.

<i>"I'm a firm believer that if we have the right to have our opinions in support for same sex couples, than the same should be for those who oppose it."</i><br /> <br /> I'm pro having opinions but not when those opinions equate to lowering certain people (who live lives that hurt absolutely nobody) to less than human beings.
