My Opera also has some problems... The money/bone/chat stuff and the picture on top of the page have disapeared but instead this main table is really really big now and over my full screen so I can barely do anything without scrolling down for like a mile

Your Opera has issue with the advert for Face Book probably, mine had, too. I do not understand the grooming limitation either if the bug is fixed. So what do we do now with sick dogs when we can't even go to the vet because vetting is not a constant option? There needs to be a permanent vet link now.

I don't understand, what is the reason for this new restriction if the glitch has already been fixed? Is it just to spite us? :/

I kinda like the udea of Ooops this grooming session has ended thing. It`s not fair to us who didn`t know about the bug/didn`t do it. For the refresh thing is there going to have to be an Oops, this page doesn`t exist or Oops, you may not refresh this page. I didn`t know about the glitch myself. Now back to the only twice per day thing it`s not like it`s bugging me it`s that because of that my Opera Browser (DSI system) isn`t loading the page right. :/ For some reason there`s no dog picture at the top and the spot where the chat and training,money,bones thing is GONE!!!! Now I`m stuck on my side side account!!! My things have different IP adresses but I still only have two accounts. So what Robyn`s done has affected me badly. :( Now my doggies keep on aging :{

wow, I didn't know this existed. I find it a shame people take advantage of bugs and glitches just like I hated people bribing people to join Mutt-z so they cut of the referral rewards. Bad guys take advantage and all the good ones suffer. :/

This is not right, and I am downright ashamed of the people who exploit this glitch. I had NO idea this even existed. I rarely ever even USE the soapy bath tub. I used it like, once. This is just, Not right. Thank you for fixing these Glitches, maybe people will start to play fair now.

To me this is the old-school high school punishment syndrome. I remember that when I was in public schooling, everyone would be punished for the actions of a few. It never did work and the bad people were still bad. They found other ways to do it, while the good people in the class became more resentful. The best idea is to punish teachers and fix the bugs, but not limit the enjoyment of Alacrity to others. It is what helps keep peace no matter where the location. It is not only a good Alacrity lesson, but a good lesson from a business and educational standpoint. This applies no matter where you go.

I noticed when the new Sheltie's came out that some user's were using all their training sessions then bathing their dogs over and over, like twenty times to get their energy back up. Then purchasing training sessions from other users. I wondered how they were able to use the bathtub so many times. It never lets me use it unless my dog has been bitten or given birth. Now I know. :( I wonder how people figure out glitches. I'm not that smart.

Now that I'm slightly calmer, I'm here to protest. I love my pixels, and when my bitches give birth I want them and their puppies back to 100% health immediately. Now because of a few unethical players, I cannot do this. This is extremely upsetting for me, especially since I come to alacrity to get *away* from sites who use blanket punishments like this.

When I first read the top I was like-What? I didn't know that was what Ala meant!-when I read 'and this includes Alacrity' X3 I had no idea that these bugs existed.

i won't say anything such as 'this isn't fair' because it is stopping cheaters. I myself didn't know those glitches existed. But will there be a way to bring up low health dogs?
by Alcemistnv [567 candy corns] #3906

Echoing the other players: I never took advantage of the bug (didn't know it was there, even), and being punished for others doing so isn't fair. Just fix the bug...there's no reason to limit grooming for everyone.

Limited Grooming? What if the dogs health level is still really low? Grooming can help bring it up last time I check so what then? I think that's a bad idea, from what I know cats and dogs loved being groomed
by Alexpark #94
Posted on 11-17-2010 at 10:23 PM

Er, I could be totally off-mark here, but wouldn't it make more sense to fix the coding so there *is* no more bug, rather than taking away all grooming privileges? Grooming twice a day does *nothing* in the grand scheme things if you have a large kennel and more than one bitch giving birth at a time.

Same boat as Carni, here. Punishing all for the mistakes of a few does not seem right at all, and I've seen it end badly on other game sites. This is almost never a good thing to do; I know I don't appreciate it. Sorry Robyn.
by GeistNoir #4246

I definitely understand the frustration with the bug (I'm another in the crowd who had no idea this was even going on), but it seems extreme to me to punish everyone on the site by making things more difficult because of what a few people were doing. If the bug is already fixed, then why limit everyone on how many times they can use a bath tub, when it comes with, like, 20 uses? You're only hurting sales doing it this way, because people won't be buying bath tubs as often, and making things harder for everyone just doesn't seem like the right thing. This is my opinion, though.

Can't you make it so that baths behave more like food, instead of changing it to two uses per dog? If you accidentally refresh or press the back button for food, it says something like "this item doesn't exist." Using the bath tub doesn't get rid of an item unless the bath tub breaks, but it does use up a turn that you can use the bath tub on. (If you use a bath tub once it goes down from 10 to 9.) So can't you make it so that if someone refreshes or presses back, it says "that bathing session is over" ?

Darn. That exploitation has cost us all, because I have run through half a bath tub before when my dogs were sick... Never refreshing, always going back through my inventory, unless the page didn't load right. I'll admit then I pushed refresh no matter where it was, but I swear I didn't mean to take advantage of anything! I didn't know about it. : But darn. Health is going to suffer.

Whoever decided to take advantage of a glitch like this and exploit not only the site, but the wonderful people who take the time to maintain it for us and listen to us ought to feel so ashamed of themselves. These are good people, you should be reporting glitches, not exploiting them.

I didn't know about this and am sad people were using it. Now it's going to take forever to get pups and their moms back up to health right after the pups are born. :/ This is going to be extremely annoying. *Sigh* I hate when some people ruin things for others who don't deserve it.

Wow, didn't even know this existed but sad that people took advantage like that. It's going to be harder to get my dogs health up after they give birth, they always loose enough health to go through 5 or 6 baths. But I understand why this has to happen, too bad it means a bummer for the rest of us.
by Signy Zombie #2690

I've only ever used the tub to regain health - this means if a dog is sick we can only bathe them twice and have to try to do the rest with brushing & food?
by kittybot2 (APBTs, Borzoi, Catas, GSDs, & Huskies!) #7340

Are we still allowed to brush them more than twice?
