I personally love pit bulls. I own one in real life. I would have been happy with any breed, and am glad that the wonderful workers of Ala let us vote on it and are taking the time to work on a new breed. Instead of saying "No! I hate that breed," or "this breeds' better than that one," thank the people who are working hard on it. Thank you, staff of Alacrity! I appreciate your work ad dedication!

Gooo pitties! Although...I personally think we need more medium-sized terriers, but I'm biased since I own two. Can't wait to see the pits!

@ Rev- That's what I got on my screen for this poll. However, during the breed poll, when the liability began to be questioned I voted for the Great Dane as a test on my side account since it was so far behind anyways, and it allowed me to use 2 votes. After those 2 I didn't refresh anymore, but both times it said "Your vote has been counted" or whatever it says, as well as adding my 2 votes to the total.

@Lunar - When I hit the refresh button, it came up with a red sign that said something like, "You have already voted on this poll." Is that not what's happening to everyone else?

@Aussie - I just tested it out, and you can't refresh over and over to vote multiple times. It will only allow you to vote once.

It's a pity that the Shiba didn't win. Especially since I really don't like Pit Bulls.<br /> But congrats to everyone who voted them!

I think it's so wonderful that people can embrace Pit Bulls seeing how bad their reputation is. I myself know a Pittie, and she has a wonderful personality.<br /> <br /> More hoarding is on the way for me. xD

I am SO happy with the breed poll winner! American Pit Bull Terriers are the ultimate family dog, good with children, adults, and older people. They are extremely athletic, and excel at any sport that their owners ask them to participate in. They are the true American breed, having had so many different jobs asked of them in the past, the originated as farm dogs, helping to bring stock to the market, holding animals while procedures where done to the animals, ridding the farm or unwanted animals such as rats, protecting the family, and even providing a baby sitter to the children. I look forward to having some pit bulls here on Ala, as I already have two real life ones at home :-)

I feel that these beliefs of cheating votes is an insult on our coders part. I am sure that they have these polls set up to accept one vote per account in a manner to avoid things like these. I also do believe a large part of the community doesn't know much of the shiba inu adide the name, whereas the pit bulls are a more commonly heard breed.

I think we need more family friendly less sporty medium sized dogs (( not saying the Pit Bull is not family friendly or anything )) I think we should go for more for dogs that are good with 1 year old's as well as older people

Eh. Don't care much for big, bulky dogs. I think Ala needs Non-Sporting dogs and Sporting Breeds. Carni, we never know someone cheated and waited for Shibas to catch up and then refreshed the page on their side. :/

Aussie, I highly doubt anyone was actually able to cast multiple votes. If they had, I think we'd have seen waaaaay bigger numbers than we already have. There was only a 20-30 vote difference between Shibas and Pits. If several people were exploiting a glitch like that, I think we would have seen much more suspicious results. :P

Eh - sorry but when people were openly admitting to refreshing to add votes it kinda leaves the polls validity questionable. I am sure the Ala artists will do a wonderful job on the pitts. Look forward to seeing them.

I love Pit Bulls and am very excited as much as others are that they will be joining the site. Now, I know the Shiba's were pretty close to what the Pit Bulls had but after Pit Bulls, since the Shiba's had the second highest vote, will the Shiba's be next in line after the Pit Bulls?

Just wondering why so many people like Pitbulls? I have nothing agenst them but I'm generly scared of dogs that look like pitbulls and labs because I was bit around my left eye by my dads lab pit mix when I was seven years old... I'm 14 now but I cant help but feel scared of any bulky dog breeds. Sad I know :(. (just so you know I did vote for Pitbulls and wire haired terrier)

It's outragious how so many people are against one breed for a couple mean dogs. I was attacked by a Sheltie in 2nd grade. It was my mean neighbor's dog. -_- But I still luff them. &lt;3<br />
