Robyn, I think (whether others do or not) that you are an amazing site owner. For example, you work so hard on this site you hardly get sleep. And, when I come on I see new things every day. You try to satisfy everyone's needs, but if some people end up unhappy they criticize you, which is way wrong. To be honest with you, I look up to you because you are so amazing at getting things done, making everyone happy, getting almost everyone's opinions. I don't think you are a bad site owner at all, in fact you are the best and I pity people who think otherwise.

Rob, I respect all the rules you set and I believe your intentions are good. If others are too immature to realize this, that should not make you feel the way you do. When in doubt, just think of the many reasonable people who will always support and love you. Thanks Rob!

Rob you should be totally upset about how selfish people are. They want everything to be perfect and they don't realize how many peoples feelings or hard work gets crushed in that process. I am truly sorry if I ever made you feel this way. Leave the haters be-hide and pick up the people that truly love you no matter what. I think your the best site owner, and you actually care about what your community cares about. I know a bunch of site owners who would never poll their users to see what they think. Aww, Rob D: I'm very sorry you felt that way, and since I'm a horrid artist the rule didn't really affect/bug me, but I could undersand how some people felt. You are an amazing, INVOLVED site owner, and people need to realize that you're just human, and if they don't cut you some slack, then they need to take a lesson in manners. As a co-owner and staff member of sites, I can say you can't make everyone happy. Though you do take some messages to heart, remember there are also others that appreciate it greatly though they do not speak up. Keep you head up, Rob! I know your heart is in the right place!

If it matters any, I think you are quite the opposite... I have never been on a site that has had such a caring and considerate owner. It is one of the things I love the most about Alacrity over any other site. I think your dedication to and your love for the site and the members of it has brought a great community and family feel to alacrity. =)

Why would anyone say such a thing about anyones beautiful art , are ala peeps should be appreciated artists and I love everyones art on ala.

I think this is a great rule. If you want your art critiqued, then ask for it. If not, it's just there for everyone to enjoy. <br /> <br /> Probably the people that have a problem with the rule are the ones that like to go around trashing everyone's work anyway. Don't let them ruin your day. The site is great, you make wonderful additions & changes.

First time comment, don't beat yourself up over the rule you made. Perhaps there is a happy medium by reprogramming the artistic end of things to allow players to choose whether to accept comments, publicly or privately. That way the heat is off you and on the player themselves.

Try to cheer up, Rob. :/ You're like, the best site owner I have ever seen or known. You care about us members and go long ways to make us happy. Some people are just like that, there's one thing they don't like and they go all-out on you. Try not to care about them too much. robyn, there are many people in this world who's aim is to do nothing but complain and attempt to bring everyone down with the whole 'nothing you can do is ever good enough', I live near, and go to school with. there is always, always someone like that and unfortunatley they are everywhere, personally this rule doesn't bother me but there are many people who are major drama kings and queens and thrive on going over the top, these eople I beleive would make great critics as they state their oinions loud and clear >.>

Like everyone here has been saying Rob, as far as the sims I've been on you are by far the most involved owner and most mindful of user input that I have seen. I think the way you run this site is amazing. I have seen many sites where users suggest something and owners either ban or make announcements saying "we have heard you and to bad it's my site." For such a young woman it really is quite impressive to see how well you run this site. And as I have said from the first day I joined Ala, you, the artists, mods, and newbie helpers all do an amazing job here and I know many people agree with that. We love you Robyn and we appreciate you and everything you do for the Ala community &lt;3

Robyn, you and the admins, mods, helpers and site artists are very much appreciated. Not many sites will actually listen to the members and take suggestions and actually strive to improve the site to suit everyone, but you and everyone here do just that!!! I constantly see "Update" on here and 9 times out of 10 it's a great update and something I look forward to!! I hope you don't let the few who don't appreciate you make you feel unappreciated. We still ask you to ask privately, but I'm also going to make it a requirement to at least listen to what the users have to say, no guarantee anything will change, but I believe site artists need to hear what the players think within reason. :)

Fair enough. <br /> <br /> Does this rule also apply to site art by our artists? I know there was a fuss about that a while back. I mean, I agree that it's kinda rude to just go nit-pick at someone's personal art that they did for themselves when they post it in chat or on the forums, but when site art is posted it's intended to be for the users and I think it's only fair that they have input without the artists getting mad at them. Obviously it'd have to be respectful and all, and not turn into a big debate on the front page, but the members should be able to express their opinions about something that's meant to be for the good of the site.

I've mentioned this before, but it would be nice to also have a rule about accepting critique graciously. It's been addressed that people give unwanted or nasty critique (which I've been on the receiving end of and know it's irritating), but it hasn't been addressed that some people will allow critique, but then have a hissy fit when they don't hear what they want to hear. This rule makes plenty of sense, but it's also rather one-sided because I've dealt with both things and they're equally annoying.

I think some people can be immature over little things like a new rule being added..... sometimes I think those who disagree with the rules just don't like to follow them. That is just my opinion. Rob don't let those guys ruin your day just because they just want to start something. You know that we all love you and that you are doing your best. Robyn as one who had a chat (not a game site) and always considered Input before deciding things that can backfire as people continue to discuss things nit to make the person feel bad. Know I also am one who's picky how I spend my dollars, and I love the way you run your site and the game itself. There will always be naysayers, but know your doing great on here.

Many of us know better, but things like "Robyn has decided this and you should just deal with it" (paraphrase) have been said quite often in the wake of unpopular changes. I think that all of us, users, admins and mods alike, should be very careful of how we phrase our responses in order to avoid escalating tensions.<br /> I'm sorry to hear this has you so down. oh... I guess I was not aware whats going on ... I disabled my chat so I could concentrate on training my dogs.. i had no idea whats going on.. I have no clue who said what... Robyn, I'm really sorry that you felt this way. I always felt this is best place to be and always tell my friend how wonderful this site is and how owner cares about the players, unlike another site I came from.. I never paid a penny on any other game site, but here I had no problem to donate. I was so impressed that such young girl like you could create this great site and always happy to support as much as I can.
