I'm really glad the sheltie was the highest voted one. They are one of the lower popularity dogs on the site and they really deserve the attention. Alastair is a lovely name. Looking forward to seeing art of the new mascot up.

I love Celerity because it's a synonym for alacrity :D And it does look more like a male design to me

Oh I know ZJ, but these aren't even 2nd or 3rd place names for me xD. If it had just the option to vote gender only (with no name) then I would just vote gender.

Hermaphrodite is a term that can be offensive to people who are intersex and others who find the term to be incorrect. Therefore it will not be an option, only the sex of Male or Female.

I agree with ZJ, but isn't there a hermaphrodite somewhere on this site? I personally am not one to complain, I just can't wait to see which one wins.

It's a dog, so it will have a sex of male or female. It's not a limit but rather a requirement of dogs on Alacrity having a Sex.

Kalid if they are going to make a custom it has to have a gender for it ^^; I dont see how its limiting.

I was the one that suggested Spry =( Sad it didn't win. I don't think I'll vote because I can't decide out of what's left. I love guyish names for girls so if I voted Celerity, I'd put male xD. If it was Alastair I'd say female but can't decide which one.. hermm.. I have to think about it

We're asking you to choose what name you like best, then choose what gender you think suits it. If you like Alastair better then vote Alastair Male, if you like Celerity better, then vote Celerity Female.

I don't really want the Mascot to have a gender....It seems so limiting...

I wish that there were two separate polls: one first determining the name and then one determining the gender (or vice versa). Alastair sounds likes a male name to me but Celerity sounds like a female name to me :/ Makes it a lot harder to decide which one I want knowing that the gender I'd like may not match the name I actually vote for.
