I agree. I got one of those a week ago. I have to shut down my computer, and I gave it a virus. Ugh. >-< Luckily BullGuard was able to remove it.

I had this happen to me a couple of years ago before I knew these things existed... I was beyooooooooooond mad. I thought my computer had a virus, so I shut it down AND freaked my parents out thinking it was a virus, when it was really just some jerk who posted that on their page to confuse me. Now I don't mind them, but I wouldn't want to confuse someone who doesn't know what they're clicking.

They do that? That's mean I didn't even know that was happening.

I remember these, it's like fun the first 15 clicks then it's just old >>. But, so long as you know it's a joke, if not then yea it can cause a bit of worry.

I should add on that this dialogue box thing DID happen to me when I was younger, I thought I had infected the family computer with a virus :I

Thank you ZJ, I'm incredibly wary of any links because of viruses, and if something like this happened to me and I didn't know it was a "joke", but thought it was an actual virus, I'd probably have a panic attack ;/ People need to think about how "jokes" like this might affect others; not everybody will shrug it off, laugh about it, or know it's not a virus.

I haven't seen someone on Alacrity do it but there was a case of this on a site I used to play on. The moderators there had to put up a post about these as well telling players not to use these. I didn't even know people still posted these at all, they are so old.

I agree they aren't funny. I don't see why someone would find it funny to make someone have to click through a bunch of things and possibly make them think it's a virus :/

Like I said, I haven't seen these on Alacrity but regardless, I'm glad to see they aren't tolerated here either.

I have seen these before, I don't think they are funny what so ever.
