Apparently this still is not stopping a lot of people from messaging staff instead of using the issue hub.
Now, I want to ask, do you know why using the issue hub is not only important, but also safer?
Because in the issue hub, there is documented proof of what's going on.
Admins can make sure Newbie Helpers are actually doing their job, and keeping up with the issues there.
Admins can make sure mods are doing their job keeping the site safe and handling rule breaking appropriately.
Mods and Admins can look in on helper issues and make sure the questions are answered correctly and, if the issue has been sitting for a few minutes, pick up the issue and handle it themselves.
Admins can see what's going on behind the scenes in regards to mod issues, making sure no one's out of line and the correct action being taken.
All in all, it's safer because the staff member cannot delete the comments they make. If someone steps out of line or gives wrong information repeatedly, it is documented. This protects you, the user.
Please keep this in mind before deciding that you'd rather send a message (that can be deleted, can be replied to with false information) to a staff member, instead of using the hub.
Thank you for your time and consideration on this most important matter.
