Yes, my hair was about waist length before I cut, but it didn't feel long. It felt pretty normal. And I never thought of it as long because I had it in layers.
If it makes you feel any better, I just cut my hair the other day. TEN INCHES. 0_0 Donated it to Locks of Love. And my hair is now about shoulder length. :)
Trust me, Short hair is sooooo much better xD I used to have hair down to my waist when I first cut it (it was permed, so I couldn't donate it then either :P) and I will never go back for too long a period of time. Lol, and thanks xD I'm gonna do it this time! <333
