Leopard Geckos?
Hello,
I'm getting a leopard gecko soon, and I know I need: -A 10 gallon tank (have it) -Mite off (have it) -Cage Carpet (have it) -Meal worm dish (have it) -Wipe out 1 (cage cleaner) -2 hideouts (1 moist, 1 dry) -Food and water dishes -UTH (under tank heater) -a mister (spray bottle thing) -Temp and Humidity gauges -Moss (for the moist hide) -Vitamin and Calcium supplements -Leopard gecko food pellets -Crickets -Meal Worms -Screen tank top -Decor
So my questions are: (#4 is very important)
1. Am I missing anything? 2. Do I need a terrarium controller? 3. Are rock heaters safe? *4. What kind of lights are 100% necessary??* 5. Is petco a good place to get the Leo? 6. Which are better: Males or Females?

Have you psoted in the group?<br /> <br /> I honestly don't trust anything that is being told in Petco and PEtsmart since most times they get care information wrong for the fish, reptiles, and birds.<br /> <br /> The fact that they house all the beardies and geckos together (and snakes) together shows this.<br /> <br /> I would honestly look at pangea or the page I gave you for the information.

the lights are night and day they are heat lights to represent moon and sun idk who told you you dont need a dome light but i dont think they know about those critter

with a leopard gecko the water dish only needs to have a moist sponge you get at the pet store. you dont need a sprayer because leopard geckos are desert critters<br /> <br /> the night and day Dome light is needed<br /> <br /> never looked at petco for getting anything but fish. i always use pet smart.<br /> <br /> You wont be able to tell difference in gender till they are full grown<br /> males fight if put together, while females shouldn't

I don't know anything, but I am a part of a Reptile page which has been helping me for when I get my own Snake.
