9/11 anniversaries and panic
This was suggested by Kael to come here. If this turns into a debate, I will have it moved. This is a very sensitive issue for some, for me, it doesn't affect me personally as I lost no one to this.
Okay, this has been bugging me for a long time now.
WHY do we have to have an anniverrary for 9/11 every year? Did you know that more thn half of the people killed in 9/11 were killed in Hurricane Katrina? We don't hold an anniversary for them, right?
And yes, while what those police officers and firefighters did was indeed heroic and they saved lives, what about those fighting overseas to protect our country?
Why do people panic about another attack? Why couldn't the terrorists attack during the 6th anniversary?
Is it going to be this way every year after the 10th? If I'm living in NYC and I hear talking about the 27th anniversary and they have a huge memorial, but brush off the giant earthquake that killed twice the amount of people 3 years before that (yes, I made that up), I'm finding a way to get off this planet. :/
These are my opinions, and nothing will really change them. Even if I did lose someone, i wouldn't be moving on if I had some sort of memorial every year.
But alas, it is time for others to say. Remember, try not to debate, just give your matter of opinion and do NOT shoot anyone down. Don't say someone is "wrong" becaause no one is. Opinions.
