Lenox held his trident bravely as he continued his search for someone, anyone, who could be useful with electronics. The forest was eerily silent and when a mockingjay called out, he jumped so high he thought he'd hit the screen at the top of the dome. He shuddered.

Max looked around with her narrowed amber eyes. She turned to whisper to a boy from District 2 and a few other Careers before she grabbed a sword and quiver and began to scour the area around the Cornucopia.
(can i post from her view if i put her name above it like this:
NATILY
I looked around.

note:ill post longer post than that. thats just an example.)

((I would be derpy. :P
Oh and BTW you spelled interesting wrong.))

Brook

The air between Brook and Wolf crackled with electricity as they pushed themselves through the field filled with shoulder-high plants.
"I wonder if any of these are edible," Wolf wondered aloud.
"Only one way to find out," Brook pulled off some of the seeds- which slid off easily into her palm- and was about to toss them in her mouth when Wolf shouted, "Wait!"
"What?" Brook asked irritably.
"If they're poisonous you'll die," Wolf proclaimed smartly.
"And you don't want that because?..."
"You're my ally," Wolf answered, "and a dead ally is of no use to me."
"Fantastic," Brook flung the seeds away, scattering them. "What now? Your crackers aren't going to last that long."
"We've got to find berries we know are safe," Wolf said. "Like the things at the thing in the training center."
"Really descriptive," Brook rolled her eyes.
"I'm trying!" Wolf snapped. "Now help me!"
"Okay," Brook said, and they began to look or food.

Wolf

Wolf watched Brook warily as she scrounged for food they knew was edible. In the back of his mind, her constantly heard one thing, repeated over and over.
Don't trust her. Don't trust her. Don't trust her.
So when Brook handed him a handful of tiny strawberries, insisting she'd seen them before and knew they weren't poisonous, Wolf wouldn't try it until Brook did.
When they decided on a place to stay- the edge of the field that bordered the lake and the forest- Wolf insisted on keeping watch first. He'd just wait until dawn before waking up Brook, so she'd have to take a very short amount of time to kill him.
When he finally got Brook convinced, Wolf propped himself up against a lone locus tree and began his long watch.

((Well, don't go and kill yourself with your own advanced literacy. We should make a literate Rp))

Eventually, Pike decided he would try the juneberries. Popping only two in his mouth, he rolled them along his tongue for a minute before breaking their delicate skins.
Pike waited.
And waited.
And waited.
He smiled and ate a few more. They didn't seem to affect him at all, and he wasn't lying dead on the ground.
Which was good.
So he ate a bunch more and filled his pockets until they were completely full.
========

Vanilla got comfortable in the bush and continued to watch in case the Careers did anything intersting.

((Way ta go all out, sis.))

Brook

As they walked, Brook made sure to watch Wolf warily. He was a tall, strong-looking guy, and she noted to make sure she always had one eye on him.
Of course, he'd probably have to keep an eye on her too, because alliances can only last so long.
This will only be until I kill off the careers, Brook decided to herself. Then, I'll pick off this Wolf guy. After that, I'll pretty much be home free.
"So, Brook," Wolf broke into the red-haired girl's thoughts. "Don't think I don't know what you're doing."
"And what is that?" Brook asked innocently.
"Planning my demise," Wolf answered plainly. He didn't say it in a challenging way, or with a lot of spite. He just stated the fact that it was. Both of them couldn't win.
"Why on Earth would I be doing that?" Brook was stung by the fact that her facial features could be read so easily.
I've never been considered an open book before.
"Both of us won't win," Wolf pointed out the obvious. "It'll most likely be neither of us. So, since we'll both most likely die, let's not use our last breaths to jeer at each other, or have unpleasant thoughts." Brook felt a spike of- pride?- for this boy, and she struggled to push it down. She couldn't become his friend. That would most likely put that black dagger in her back.
No, Brook decided. I kill him first.
Soon.

Wolf

Instantly, Wolf sensed a change in Brook. Her muscles had tightened, and she gripped her dagger tighter with each step.
"What's the problem?" he struggled to keep his voice neutral.
"Nothing," Brook spat back, lifting her dagger, just a little.
Okay, this isn't going to go well.
"You sure?" Wolf was trying to make his voice calm and caring, but he guessed Brook got it as demeaning her, because she snapped, "Positive."
"Just checking," Wolf muttered, widening his stride so there was two yards between the 'allies'.
"Well, you don't need to," Brook snarled. "I'm not a little kid."
"Yeah, well," Wolf shrugged. "You are to me."
"Pity, Brook snapped, raising her dagger a little more. "Because- guess what- I can take care of myself."
"Yeah, well," Wolf shrugged once more. "You're my ally, and I guess it's my duty or whatever to care about you."
"Yeah, well," Brook mocked him, "I'm gonna win this in the end, so there's no use in you trying to be all, like, caring and stuff, because I'm getting rid of you in the end."
"Sure," Wolf rolled his eyes. "How are are you, like twelve?"
"Fourteen," Brook spat. "And stop insulting me or this alliance is over."
"I'm not insulting you," Wolf struggled to smooth over their argument.
She's a rude one, isn't she?
"Okay," Brook didn't look at him.
"Alright."
They continued on in silence.

Vanilla grinned, realizing her luck.
He didn't notice me! For a second she thought about perusing him and killing him out farther in the woods but... No. It could wait till later.
Besides, there were other tributes and muttations that could get him in the woods.

There was a rustle in the bushes as Pike came down from the tree in landed in some. He was hungry, and though he knew he could last longer than this he was at the point of hunger when all you can focus is the emptiness in your stomach and the ache in your head. His fingers closed around some strange berries on the bush. Juneberries? Pike guessed. He couldn't remember if these were poisonous or not.

 Brook

Brook wielded her tiny knife, moving slyly towards the boy. He was backing up. She vaguely remembered him as the District 8 boy from training, the kid who- despite his age and stature- barely knew how to fight.
"You ready now, baby boy?" she asked in a purr.
"Uh, yeah," he said in a fail answer.
"Then come on!" Brook took a swipe at him, almost winning the battle right then. If 8 hadn't backed up just then, he would've had a mighty large wound to clean up on his neck.
"Coming, Mother!" 8 met her blade with a sickening clang.
Their battle raged.

Wolf

Fear claimed Wolf the entire of his battle with the girl. She obviously had some experience with weapons, because her swipes were crisp and sure, her eyes narrowed in deadly focus.
I'm not sure I can win this.
The only thing that kept Wolf alive was the sure feeling that he couldn't lose to a girl so much younger than him. If that hadn't taken him, he might've given up the fight near the beginning.
Finally, the girl got a lucky stab, cutting Wolf deep on his bicep and drawing blood. He fell, and she stood over him, knife posed to end the battle.
Yet something stopped him.
To her last of his days, Wolf didn't know what made the girl stop. It couldn't possibly be pity, although he was curled on the ground, trying to stop the bleeding on his arm.
"Hey," the girl said softly. "So, um, I'm Brook."
"Congrats," Wolf rasped. "I'm Wolf. I'm so delighted to meet my murderor."
"No no no," Brook shook her head hard. "I'm sorry that I, like, sliced you on your arm and jazz. So, like, ya wanna be in an alliance?"
"Are you physco?" Wolf scoffed. "Have you SEEN the bleeding in my arm?"
"Still," Brook pulled out a large roll of gauze from her pocket. "I got these from the Cornucopia. I could help, if you want to be my ally. Of course, I could also finish you off and keep my gauze to myself. Your choice."
"Fine," Wolf sat up. "Whatever. Patch me up, doc."
With that, Brook began wrapping gauze around Wolf's arm, and their alliance began.
Max counted the cannons and shouted "eleven!" she called brightly as she chose to eat an apple, biting hard into it.

Lenox brushed against the bush with Vanilla and he shook a little as he went off alone. He wished someone else went off with him and kept alert, looking for a Tribute.
