Foundation Auctions
As of right now the foundation auctions are getting ridiculous and its getting tough to even purchase a dog from there. Only 5 come in at a time with the auction lasting hours. Not only is it hard to get a dog with only 5 available at a time with some bids going into 100k over dogs, but for my breed that I need to show up sometimes takes -days-. I figure they must be coming up when I'm sleeping.
Can we fix this? It is getting way difficult to get a dog even if you breed happens to pop up.
Here are some of my ideas:
-Have more than 1 breed running at a time -Increase the amount of dogs in the auctions -Lower the auction times to allow more breeds to run
Maybe 1-2 or none (change the system completely).
What about having a dog allowance type of thing where you can purchase a foundation, 2 per week for basic and 4 for upgraded (10k each per dog)? When you have the money and the 'credits', you can go and pick which breed and you'll have 6-8 to chose from with the random markings like the auction.
I'm not sure but either way I think it needs changed ^^; Feel free to suggest your ideas too and I'll add giving credit to you! =)

Thats kinda what I meant Thy but the only difference I see is that I was thinking maybe 5 are randomly generated and you pick from those. Either way I don't really care, I just hope something is changed ^^ =D

How about a random dog generator. It would cost 10K per dog, and you can generate maybe 1 per day for un-upgraded users, and 2-3 or so for upgraded users. you select the breed, and it pops out a dog of that breed with random stats and markings and such. If you don't like the dog, you can either retire or sell it. I think this would take care of the problem entirely, without flooding the market.

I stop bidding when the auction reaches 10k - these dogs have pretty low tp and, to me, aren't worth more than that since I'm just going to max them, breed them, then retire them. My goal is to start a clean line of high tp zois - I'm not making money off it, so it can't cost me too much to do. I would, however, be thrilled to be able to purchase 2 or 4 foundie dogs a week at 10k each. I could possibly go up to 15k, but that's still a lot. I think 10k is perfect - a little less than twice the initial starting bid, costing more because you don't have to battle with other users just to buy one dog. I finally started bidding on just one Zoi from each auction so as to leave the rest for everyone else, and people <i>still</i> outbid me. :( Its super frustrating.

I don't think 10k is that low. Especially to newer players. Maybe like 20k but 100k is just a little too ridiculous in my opinion.<br /> <br /> The only reason they go up so high is because people fight over certain dogs (sometimes just to upset the main bidder). I don't think they should even reach that high.<br /> <br /> I'm really tired of the economy talk because there's not a simple fix. Having 10k foundation dogs is not going to make or break anything.

I don't like the allowance idea, expecially because of the low price. Some foundation auctions go quite high, which takes some money out of the economy which is nice. People are always going to pay money for the things they want. If people really want a dog, they'll dish out 100k.<br /> <br /> However, I would like to see something implemented that would elimate back to back breeds.<br /> <br /> I also like the idea of having 2 breeds run at once.

Foundations are a lot with people looking to start lines. It won't really impede dog sales. Just because you have the 'credit's to get the dogs doesn't mean you're going to buy them necessarily. New people and old would need 10k per dog or around there. 2 a week is very low in my opinion xD. It is possible to win all 5 dogs from the foundation auctions if you watch carefully enough so I thought keeping the number around there (4) would be good. Just a thought though. <br /> <br /> We don't have to worry about that part yet since no admins have commented that changing it may be a possibility =)<br /> <br /> I just hope something changes is all ^^;

i spuuort the idea of having two breed at the time for auction :)<br /> <br /> i dont think getting more dogs for auction is a good idea if you look at rob's kennel. there are still an awful lot of dogs who weren't showed interest in, sometimes all 5 of the auction were ignored.<br /> <br /> <br /> Though i'm really a fan of the last idea <3 I'll help newbies gettng their fist dogs quicker, BUT i guess it means too there comes more dogs onto the site and more puppies, maybe change that to 1 per week and ugpgraded 2? :) So the for sale dogs still have a chance of getting bought<br />

I'm never up that early so I miss out xD. I'm only on during the day and so far I haven't seen any from 10am-1am est. Must be when I'm sleeping! Those sneaky dogs!<br /> <br /> I added yours up there about not occurring twice. I hate when that happens xDD. I hope something fixes!
