Greek Mythology Theme

I am a huge fan of Greek mythology and think it would make a wonderful theme for ala. I am aware there was another thread similar, but that one was based off of Percy Jackson and I don't want that, I want real myth things.


Some suggestions for backgrounds:
-The Pantheon
-The underworld (possibly showing the river styx, or well known inmates such as Sisyphus)
-Mount Olympus
-Clouds (floating in the heavens type deal)
-A forest (maybe with some tree nymphs peeking out)
-The Garden of the Hesperides (tree with golden apples)
-Apollo's chariot flying accross the sky
-statue garden (with medusa being a creeper in the background? :D?)
-Andromeda tied to a rock
-Maze of the minotaur
-Any of the places in the Odyssey

Some companion suggestions:
-cerebus
-harpies
-chimera
-Minotaur
-manticore
-sirens
(I would suggest pegasi, but they have already been done /o/)

Item suggestions:
-Laurel wreath
-golden apples
-winged sandals
-regular sandals
-lightning bolt
-Athena's sheild (used to defeat medusa)
-medusa's head
-trident
-Nemean lion cloak
-golden fleece
-Caduceus (Hermes' staff)
-Greek clothing
-Greek syle urns and vases
-Various breed statues
-Apollo's chariot foreground


Just some suggestions, and these are mostly common myths. If the artists decide to take this on they could play with the huge amount of stories in Greek mythology.



Just as a side note, a theme of Norse mythology would also be awesome, but I don't know enough about it to create a whole thread. *nudgenudgehinthint* o/ this actually happened.
