Radio station?
So I was talking with my auntie, and we were talking about how I used to be on Foo radio, (in like 2008 i think) and I was like "I know a really nice site, that could get some more publicity, and we should talk to the staff on there, about making a radio station!" And she told me to go for it.
My ideas were/and are -Call it AlaRadio -Use some people that signed up (older than 14 though) -Take requests -Have a thread on here for requests, shout outs, contests, ETC -And last but not least, we can share it to our friends and tell them to share it.
I know Ala is always looking for new people, and every time there is a new person, we could tell them how the site works, and how to get good deals and stuff, you know, teach them how people can scam them. I know its not really a good idea, but we can all learn some new things, every hour we could have an intermission, talk about the site, new contests, the adverts, and do shout outs. If this is a good idea, please tell me, because I love doing radio DJing.

Hmn.. Not sure where I stand here. I never played Foopets so I'm not really familiar with this 'radio' but I get the gist of what you're trying to suggest. It might be a bit redundant since we already have a chat users can use to converse with NHs if they need help with the site. We have the advertisement box for shoutouts/advertisements. Seems like it'll need a lot of work to keep it running as well. Will it be broadcasted all over the site? or is it a separate application that users can tune in whenever they want? and Ala does not post new updates every 20 minutes so sooner or later the speaker would have to repeat.

I feel like that'd be more if a user wanted to start it..

I dont think there should be an official site one. Just.. seems like it would be weird.

I don't quite see the purpose since most users can use their own ipods/pandoras/youtube/etc.

As for ala talk, well there's chat xD

Well I was thinking every 60 minutes, we have a 20 minute intermission where we talk about the site, new updates, contests, and also just have a conversation in general, like something funny. But it will all be age appropriate.

It's basically an online radio station created by foopets members and consisted of djs from Foopets. The DJs would play music on their iPods and take requests and listen to comments.
If there were other things beside just music (like talk shows or other programs), I'd probably be more up to it.

I'm not familiar with Foopets so I'm not sure what this idea even is? =) Can you explain what foopets radio was like? And why was it called radio?

I was never a fan of FooRadio.
It's not something the site would probably make, but a fan like the creators of FooRadio did.
I wouldn't use it, but maybe others will.
