Well, its the moderators jobs to moderate, and if they wouldn't be up to moderating chat, why the hell are they moderators? Plain laziness if you ask me.<br /> <br /> But I'm done. People clearly don't care about what I'm posting because they are failing to read it.

Nitrous's reasons for continually pointing out that the people not supporting the chat are the ones who don't participate is because they won't be the ones affected by the chat in the case it was ever implemented. I have participated in debates before but I'm not that great with words and in the last few months after reading everthing that's been said I'm just at a lost for words. So i just read and keep an eye on things, and message players when things have gotten out of hand and noone has delt with it yet (which lately its usually taken care of by the time i get to it because of my crazy work and school schedule lately)<br /> <br /> <br /> <i>"I've been here for over a year. We don't only take into consideration what we want, if that was the case a lot of things wouldn't exist and polls wouldn't be taken etc etc etc...<br<br><br> People make the choice to go to debate forums or not, how would there be a forum change that? If you would like more people participating maybe advertise it some in the shout box.

Why is the base for your argument always coming back to whether or not the none supporters participate in debate forum? I have from time to time, and stopped because of the general hostility and passive aggressive attacks people threw at each other. Fleet mentioned why she doesn't post in the debate forum, that doesn't mean she isn't reading them and has a clear idea of how those end up. <br /> <br /> A chat is going to move quick, with short heated remarks, rather than a thought out reply a debate deserves. THAT is what our problem with a chat is. The mods are another thing entirely. It has nothing to do with being lazy, we just don't see the need to have a mod constantly watching a chat that is going to be getting snarky left and right. <br /> <br /> This is a perfect example of what happens on Alacrity when someone disagrees, now imagine this in a chat with more people and everyone typing faster to get their word in and not thinking first.<br /> <br /> I will be highly surprised if a debate chat is ever added to Alacrity.

I don't see a point of debating this if you're going to troll. What I believe is that people who don't participate in the forum, who are so violently against chat, won't be participating. So why do you care?
