Old New "news"
I liked it better when the News Update banner stayed there until the user manually clicked on it. Now, it disappears if you are just on the home page.
But, instead of just going back to how it used to be, we could also have it say "2 New Updates" if there are more than 1 updates.
The user doesn't have to go through each one (which would be terrible for those on hiatus), but it could just just go away after clicking it once.

I see your point and i think this would be much better. I find myself missing some posts when there has been more than one update since i was last on ala.<br /> This would help out a lot even thought its something small.
