Ugh, that's so tasteless. <br /> <br /> I live in a portion of Connecticut, USA, where we don't have a huge amount of diversity. But we do have a ton of rednecks who run around with confederate flags off their trucks, and decide they're racist. They honestly don't have any sort of exposure to people of other races, so they just decide to be intolerant because "it's cool."

Well, to me this is something new, or confusing. I don't understand why one would would throw out their daughter for having a boyfriend named Mohammad. Personally I'd love if more immigrants came here to my island due to the fact we have such a low population and such low diversity (though I know not everyone thinks this way)<br /> <br /> Maybe I don't understand because I'm not America, I have America E-friends who are always making jokes and such about other races and I get offended/confused onto how they are funny. Personally if someone made a joke or was ignorant about another person/race, almost anyone here wouldn't find it funny or think down upon the person who made them. <br /> <br /> (On a note, I've never heard of a person named Mohammad before pfft, shows how much I get out)

How does that not make people severely uncomfortable? <br /> <br /> My mom and stepdad both threatened to throw me out when I was fifteen because I was dating a half black kid I went to school with. <br /> <br /> They would of thrown me out for any reason they could come up with anyway because they're sh*tty, selfish and unfit parents.
