The admins have gotten together once more to try and figure out how the heck to make some awesome new things for the site. Unfortunately, everything we could think of would just increase inflation and make everything a heck of a lot more expensive, so we've come to a sort of arrangement that we think will work.

First, we will be cutting the payout from trials up until Gromit and Snoopy levels, while also ensuring you can still make a reasonable amount from your trialing dogs. We didn't really want to do this, but rest assured we have our reasons, which you will find out if you keep reading!

Alongside that, we have decided to lower the trialing age to 16 years old. This was something you all voted for when we came to the crossroads of the economy a long time ago, because it just made sense (how many 20 year old dogs do you know still competing in agility? Most dogs retire by 14 at the latest, so our Ala dogs have been really rockin' it!). Don't worry, we will be reworking the number of wins it takes to reach the next level, however that's going to take some extreme number crunching, but we will let you guys know!

We are significantly increasing payout in the games - namely beauty shows and the frisbee game. We felt that these games were a bit unbalanced in relation to the trial system, so now we're hoping this makes things a little more fair.

There's also a great new shop in the works - a points shop! Points will hopefully be able to be earned through trials, but also potentially in a new game (we're talking this over with our coders to see what they can realistically do). This shop will have all new items that will only be available through the points shop.

We're finally almost all caught up on puppies, and so we are opening a final poll to decide which breed will be added next; Great Dane or Shiba Inu! The poll will stay up until the end of the month, and then a winner will be named!

Remember, you can only vote once per account, and are allowed only 2 accounts. If anyone is caught cheating, there will be immediate and strict consequences, so please be honest and fair in your voting!

There is to be NO ADVERTISING for breeds in chat or adverts! DO NOT BRIBE OTHERS TO VOTE FOR YOUR PREFERRED BREED! This is not considered acceptable behavior. Please allow people to vote however they see fit!

Hello, Alacrites!

As you've probably noticed, Alacrity has been experiencing some lag and page errors recently. This is because we've added a programmer to our ranks, who is going through all of Alacrity's code to clean it up and reformat it so that, when it's finished, the site should run much more efficiently. However, this process takes time, so we might have to deal with the lag and error issues for a while longer. Rest assured, though, that this will get resolved ASAP!
