Santa Paws his holding daily drawings for special items up until Christmas! These drawings will be posted each day both here, in the news, as well as in Mini Updates/Admin Updates, at some point before midnight. There is one prize per drawing and it's completely up to chance (haha, NOT the companion!) to choose the winner. The rules are simple and they are straightforward, but they are not to be trifled with.

Read the Rules!:
1.) Post ONCE in this thread before Midnight Ala time, on the day the thread is posted in order to be entered into the drawing. (If you post more than once, you may be disqualified from the running)
2.) You may post once per account.
3.) Players found creating more than the 2 allowed accounts to enter these contests will be BANNED from Alacrity; no exceptions. Don't do it -- we hate banning people.
4.) All Alacrity standard rules still apply! If you're not familiar with them, please take some time to do so -- you can find the link at the bottom of every page!
5.) We don't care what your post says, provided you follow the above rules, although we LOVE a good giggle (and it seems that perhaps the post that gets the biggest giggle out of us may be worth something, too.

The holiday season is upon us!

I hope you all have been on your very best behavior this year, because it wasn't just Santa Paws that has been watching you. The whole Alacrity Community gets to play the role of Santa once again this year!

Are you feeling a bit of holiday cheer? Do you want to spread the love? Well, then, we've got your ticket! Just mosey on down to the Christmas page and choose to give a gift! You can send up to 5 presents per day!

Did you get a pressie and want to see what you got? Santa Paws will let you sneak one gift per day before Christmas, but no more than that. On Christmas Day (December 25th), you will be able to open all the gifts you've been given!

Because we love you all, we will allow gift giving up until December 27th! You will have until December 31st to ensure that you've opened all your pressies. After that, Santa Paws will put the leftover gifts back on the shelves for next year :)

As a quick reminder, please remember that advertising is not permitted in main chat. If you would like to participate in trades, please conduct these via private message, scribble, sales chat, or the advert box! In the same vein, asking for gifts, offering gifts, and anything of this nature is considered advertising!

And don't you dare think that this is all we have planned for you, so definitely make sure to check back... especially on Christmas Day! I overheard the Riddler planning an extra special treat for you all and Santa Paws has mentioned a fun event planned for the days leading up to Christmas.

Finally, I wanted to let you all in a couple of game updates:

• We are making minor changes to the trial creation system. Things may be a bit wonky at times while we test different fixes out, but please don't panic--we just have some kinks to iron out :) You'll notice that the options you're given when creating trials are a bit different, once changes have been succesully made. Until we can make these fixes, we are going to ask that you all please refrain from creating trials which feature all of the same or even multiples of the same obstacles. This is due to a blatant game exploit which we needed to remedy. Please note that deliberate game exploitation will result in disciplinary action and that would make us really sad, so please don't :(
• We've tweaked the Raccoon code so that you should see a noticable increase in Random Events while one is equipped to a dog in your kennel. Please keep your eyes peeled and let us know if this seems to be the case, or if you notice no change. Please keep in mind that these effects do not stack, so it doesn't matter if you have 1 or 100 Raccoons; the effect will be the same.
• Some of you may have noticed that the Item Catalog has been updated so that custom companions are in a separate list of their own :D Here, you can more easily search to locate item effects and owners; please keep in mind that owners of these items are not obligated to make them available to the public.
