3 Days of Christmas!

Santa Paws his holding daily drawings for special items up until Christmas! These drawings will be posted each day both here, in the news, as well as in Mini Updates/Admin Updates, at some point before midnight. There is one prize per drawing and it's completely up to chance (haha, NOT the companion!) to choose the winner. The rules are simple and they are straightforward, but they are not to be trifled with.

Read the Rules!:
1.) Post ONCE in this thread before Midnight Ala time, on the day the thread is posted in order to be entered into the drawing. (If you post more than once, you may be disqualified from the running)
2.) You may post once per account.
3.) Players found creating more than the 2 allowed accounts to enter these contests will be BANNED from Alacrity; no exceptions. Don't do it -- we hate banning people.
4.) All Alacrity standard rules still apply! If you're not familiar with them, please take some time to do so -- you can find the link at the bottom of every page!
5.) We don't care what your post says, provided you follow the above rules, although Santa Paws is also picking a secondary winner based on criteria listed at the end of this post :)

This drawing will be for: an Entire Ultra Fancy Chocolate Cake

You can find the Entire Ultra Fancy Chocolate Cake thread here!

The winner will receive an Entire Ultra Fancy Chocolate Cake, which has five uses and gives the dog you feed a piece to -10 Hunger, +50 Energy, +5 speed, and +5 drive!!

Day 4 had some awfully Punny Jokes!

The Winner of the Baby Griffin (drawn completely at random) is: iSN {Not Amused Kennels}! Congratulations!! You will be receiving your prize shortly :D

We had some terribly punny jokes submitted yesterday. So many, in fact, that we had to choose a pool of our favorites and draw a random winner from the pool -- we just couldn't decide on one!

Kittylyn posted:
Why does Scrooge love Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer?

Because every buck is dear to him.

Or, should we say deer to him? XD

Kittylyn has earned a Magical Alarm Clock for their part in keeping us up well into the night, laughing at all the awesome puns! Good job! You will be receiving your prize shortly :)

Happy Howlidays!

P.S. Santa Paws told me he'll pull this round's second winner based on the best gift you ever received and why. We want to hear about the coolest thing you ever had gifted to you, but more importantly, WHY it was so special to you. It's the "why" that counts for this one :D

I think the absolute best gift I could ever get was my one from last year. It counted for my birthday and christmas so it was pretty big :) the present was revealed when my dad took me to an animal shelter and told me we could spend all day going from shelter to shelter until I found the day I want, even if it took weeks. So we went to three that day but the first pup I looked at was mine. Auggie is now a therapy dog and I couldn't ask for a better present :) no present in my fugue could top him.

The best gift I was ever given, well there's two, one is front row tickets to see the musical Wicked with my best friend, though besides the cool facter there isn't a reason why that was so awesome. The second is my Dad bought me and my Mom a horse. The horse was 22 years old, had arthritis in all four legs, and was abandoned to starve to death by his last owners. He was so skinny he didn't even have enough energy to sweat. No one wanted him because he was useless as a show horse due to the arthritis and no one wanted to put the time and money into getting him better. He was the best Christmas present I ever got, me and my Mom brought him back to health, we gave him a second chance at life, and he's enjoying every minute of it. I absolutely love him.

I have to say the best Christmas gift ever was the first Christmas gift ever given. However the best present I ever received would probably have to be a Handicraft basket my best friend gave me because I can take it out, look at it, and remember how much fun we had together that year. Not to mention I really wanted one of those XD

Good evening, Alacrites!

Since you all seem to love exploring Ala-Town so much, you can now buy more explore turns! Head on over to the Bone Exchange Page to exchange 1 Bone for 20 more explore moves! Keep in mind that if you buy turns which give you more than 30 total on your account, you must use them before the next 30 minute roll-over, or else you'll lose them!

Also, I wanted to shine a little spotlight on this month's Donation Item. With a Bone purchase of $25, or more, you will automatically receive the companion Santa`s Sleigh. This one acts a little like the Baby Griffins in that it will bring you a free present on the evening of the 1st and the 15th of each month, but Santa also stops by on Christmas Eve! Additionally, Santa`s Sleigh gives you better odds of receiving rare and valuable items. You only have a few more days to pick up this companion for your chance to receive something awesome this Christmas Eve!

Finally, don't forget about the Rare Item Auction which has some extra special stuff in it for the holidays. These auctions end on Christmas Eve, so it is the perfect chance to pick up the perfect gift for yourself, or for that friend who seems to have everything ^.^;

We hope you're having tons of fun during this holiday season!

There will probably be a Triple Bone Special at some point this month, but I can't promise it will be in time to have a Santa`s Sleigh equipped for the Christmas Eve run... we're working on making this run a bit more special than usual :>

The winner will receive a Baby Griffin, which brings its owner presents twice monthly!!

Day 5 had some delightfully strange stories!

The Winner of the December 2011 Monthly Ultimate Bag (drawn completely at random) is: Alleyme101597! Congratulations!! You will be receiving your prize shortly :D

We had some strange stories submitted yesterday and it was really hard choosing just one. Somehow we managed and Feathery is the winner of the strangest holiday story :D

Feathery posted:
Well, I guess the strangest one was when I was seven years old. My dad always played Santa, but this year he wanted it to be special. So he went to a Reindeer farm and rented a Reindeer "Santa" was going to show up with and I would "happen to see Santa". Well, long story short he brought the Reindeer into the house to "help Santa put the presents under the tree". Obviously Rudolph didn't understand, because when my mother woke me up to "see Santa", we snuck down and startled him, which made him knock down our tree and push my father over into the huge pile now, before running around the living room and then finding the open door into the yard. My dad got it and called the guy to pick it up, and I was sent back to bed while my mom helped "Santa" fix our christmas tree before morning. I went back to bed, and when I woke up the tree was back up. It was still a mess, but I thought a real Reindeer had made the mess, so I didn't care.

I wonder if she also saw mommy kissing Santa Claus :D

Feathery has earned a December 2011 Monthly Bag for sharing their strange holiday story with us! Good job! You will be receiving your prize shortly :)

Happy Howlidays!

P.S. Santa Paws told me he'll pull this round's second winner based on Punniest Holiday Joke. Who doesn't love a good pun? :D

P.P.S. Don't forget about the Rare Item Auction, which ends on Christmas Eve and contains super awesome stuff!
