Legend Phantasmagoria (Always open)

Thaetaela is a massive continent home to four great kingdoms: the kingdom of the mountains, Shletzia; the kingdom of the dry plains, Aelututari; the kingdom of the ice lands, Neumassae; and the kingdom of the great river, Forbarti. In the center lay the ruined lands formerly under a fifth, fallen kingdom, Alurdae. Beyond these great nations' lands lay an immensely unexplored wilderness. Forests, deserts, mountain ranges, and savannas sit at these borders. Beyond those have yet to be seen.

The kingdoms are primarily to aid in giving a location and possible background reference for characters. Characters can be of any race within reason. There will be no set limit, but use a comfortable number.

Characters will need to be described enough to tell a name, what they are, about how old they may be, how they look, and anything they may so happen to carry. If certain details are meant to be revealed later such as a background story that shapes them, then it is fine to do so.

They kept on walking until they were almost under the open gates. Six guards stood lining the entrance.
A seventh guard started approaching from around the corner. "Welcome," he said with mild smile. "I know you may want to get inside as fast as possible, but since the incident in Alurdae, the king wants us to keep track of anyone with weapons. A sense of security thing, really, but his orders."

"Alright. What do you need?" Anae asked.

"Just a name. Reason for visit if you feel open enough," the man replied.

"She's Anae, and I'm Aristissa."
Brysoni had his bare arms wrapped comfortably around his pulled up knees. His long sleeves were up above his elbows.

Grabbing his bag, he opened it and took out his nearly empty flask. Unscrewing the lid he poured the last few drops of the cold water into his drying mouth.

Unwrapping his arms, he placed his hands on the hot ground. Putting more weight onto his hands, he slowly lifted himself up and stood with his back towards the city. Pivoting around to face the city, he took a few more steps towards it.
They kept walking until the towers of the gates were high above them.

Anae pointed at the water flow in the center of the castle. "Look," she said. "It's flowing up."

Aristissa looked at the long walls and the parts of the city she could see within the walls. She could see a tall fountain beyond the gates. "It's almost exactly as I remember how daddy described it."
Brysoni's eyes darted around, trying to spot if anyone else was coming but after standing still for a few minutes and walking for hours it was unlikely his legs would stay still for much longer. He bent down, placing his knees on the ground, then resting in that place as he started to get his energy back.
"Should be about an hour," Anae said.

"I wonder if the king and queen are the same," Aristissa said thoughtlessly.
"I never actually believed the stories" His jaw had dropped open at the sight that unfurled in front of his surprised eyes.Gazing at the marvellous castle that floated in the city. He stayed there, unable to take his eyes away, for a few moments before he snapped himself out of it.

After spotting the water that flowed from the castle, nothing else seemed to matter at that moment in time. No floating castle could be better then water when your own is nearly gone and you haven't kept on drinking.
"Look at that," Anae said as she pointed towards the castle. "I knew Aelututari was an amazing sight to behold, but look at all of that water! It seems to pour endlessly from the castle!"

"No wonder some travelers often refer to it as an oasis," Aristissa added. "How do you think they have that happening?"

"Arie, for a city with a floating castle, I don't know how to answer that."
Brysoni's legs started to grow weaker as he continued his journey towards the gates. His mind had forgot to keep telling him to take a sip of his water, which made it harder for him to walk. Once his memory finally came back, he took a huge gulp of his refreshing water. The cold liquid running down his dry and hurting throat.

The awareness of time, hours, minutes, seconds all seemed like meaningless words. For all he knew, he could have been walking for 4 hours and not realised. Though it felt like more as his head began to hurt fro the heat.

After hours of walking, Brysoni was welcomed with the relief of gates standing high in front of his eyes.
Finally, they lost track of time. The sun floated high above the horizon. Aristissa lifted a canteen to her mouth, but her lips were rewarded with an empty dryness. She looked into the container to confirm its emptiness.
"Anae," she started, "how much further do you think it is?"

"Another hour at least," the black gnoll replied. "At least we can see the gates, though. They are absolutely massive."
Brysoni could feel the ground underneath him. The soft floor that would move down when pressure pressed on it. The sky above him that was home to the incredible sun. Not much seemed to be around, everything that was even hospitable would most likely be in the place where everyone could live.

"Just a bit longer." He told himself after what felt like hours of walking, though it had probably been only 40 minutes. Brysoni spotted what seemed like a fortress or a castle like building.
