I'm in support of TP-sectioning. Hopefully we'll hear the reasoning behind why it was not included as a viable option with the other 2 that are currently up.<br /> <br /> I think it'd be a natural way to curb how often dogs run without making it so that any one group (low TP dogs or high TP dogs) suffers. <br /> <br /> Low TP dogs can still run and don't have to worry about getting stomped by higher TP dogs (which can even eliminate the need for trial teams!). It's not making it easier for lower TP dogs to win, it just makes the system fair. It makes absolutely no sense to allow high level dogs to run over low TP dogs, unless this is still allowed because people want their dogs to progress quickly versus fairly.<br /> <br /> High TP dogs, who are currently making a little too much money, can still enter as many trials as they like, but the trials will run at a slower pace since there are less very high TP dogs running. It's already been proven that higher TP dogs are the ones who are bringing in the most money, so having them able to trial at a bit slower pace will slow that down without keeping people from having to change their gameplay style.<br /> <br /> Heck, you could even implement option 1 with this (though it has been said that people DO run trial times in real life... so emulating realism isn't a valid reason here), and it would work out perfectly.<br /> <br /> Personally, I would love to trial my dogs if I knew they were running against dogs who matched their skills. Total losses or absolute unchallenged wins are in no way true to the spirit of competition.<br /> <br /> I'm also in support of entering dogs without being able to see exactly what their TP is. That seems realistic to me also (why wasn't that option included in the official thread either??).

I mostly would like to hear why TP-sectioning has been ruled out entirely by the staff without any discussion with the members, despite there being a board open and active on the topic for quite some time now.<br /> <br /> As I said on the other board: it's either teams, in which case I make a little cash, or it goes like this: I can put them in trials with lower TP dogs already entered and win money, but cause everyone else to lose. I can put them in trials with higher TP dogs and lose, but what's the point of that? Or I can choose trials to place them in with no other dogs, but I usually do not win when I do this. Because then people can look at my dogs, see their TP, and only enter if they're higher.<br /> <br /> TP-sectioning and hiding the dogs entered in each trial seems like the most sensible way to limit high-TP dogs from taking all the wins away from low-TP dogs if trial teams aren't going to be an option. It would keep high-TP dogs from "sniping" (on purpose or accidentally, I'm not pointing fingers!) trials, and it would keep low-TP dogs able to compete with other dogs in their range.<br><br>edit because I shouldn't post when working ... geez, the typos.
