Lease System
Hi, some of you may seen me I have been posting some idea's lately, this is my latest one.
A lease system. [Not sure if we have this.]
A lease system is just like a trading system and it's for items! [Bitches could be use if players would want this.]
So let's say someone wanted to rent my bunny that guarantees 4 puppies in a litter and I wanted $5,000 for the rent, but how will I know if the player will ever return it to me? Instead of having a huge risk and upset members the Lease System helps that problem example of a lease trade.
Player 1 would like to use the item "Alaskan Wolf" but cannot afford one but Player 2 is giving items for rent for about $25,000 - Player 1 would like to rent but Player 2 thinks something may happen and lose their Alaskan Wolf so Players go to the "Lease System" & puts in player ID or Player 1 can just go to Player 2s profile and press "Offer a Lease Trade."
Now that Player 1 has offered Player 2's lease trade when starting a lease trade player must put in a item in that the player HAS after sending the request The other player [Player 2] will have 24 hours to see this request before the trade expires. Player 2 can edit trade so let's say Player 2 would like a rental fee they would put "$25,000" or how much they want and there expiration date when the item comes back to there inventory for example 7 days, so when 7 days passes Player 2 gets there item back.
After Player 2 sends the new edit trade, Player 1 must agree to it and accept it. Then Player 2 will get $25,000 if both players agree to the trade and Player 1 will get there Alaskan wolf for 7 days enough days for a litter to be born.
I hope this isn't confusing, I would love this because I can open up a rental shop for people who cannot afford the items in the shop or in players shops so they can just rent an item from me.

The problem is definitely not a question of it not being able to be re-written, but that the amount of time taken to re-write or adjust the script may be on the lower end of priorities on Alacrity compared to implementing other features that might be more focused and essential to core game play for majority users versus minority.<br /> <br /> It certainly would not hurt to look into it, but I cannot guarantee it will be something that would be added to the site soon even if considered.<br /> <br /> You are still welcome to lease items meanwhile using the method stated though, as long as you have all evidence and agreements in order we can return it same day.<br /> <br /> I will continue to keep an eye on number of support in general. :)

Hmm, there is always a loop-pole around scripts and ways to fix things. There could be a way to "remove item." Like a real lease system, it may take some time to make though to get both scripts working nicely.

Hmm, the main problem with this would be that if the item were left equipped to a dog it would not be feasible. The system would need to be re-written.<br /> <br /> Since item removal from a dog is done under a different type of script than it would to move something from an inventory.<br /> <br /> Ideally we are happy to help recover items as long as you retain proof of agreement and ownership of the item. Having a screenshot of everything is always helpful; and copying down the item ID number (visible in url, some players know how to find this, but it's not necessary it only makes things convenient).

I've always rented out items on Alacrity, I've only had two problems. 1 was where a user thought I had sold them the item and 2 was because the 2nd user was frozen before they could give me the item back. In both cases the mods/admins got my stuff back<br /> It isn't risky to lend out items as long as you have your rule clearly written in your profile, you tell them the rules before sending them anything, and you screencap/save ALL transactions.
