The Offical Labrador Retrievers Support tread
And a Lab Puppy who's Alive by me! :D yay!
THE LABRADOR RETRIEVER
One of the most well known and mixed breedsaround the world. Many colour variations are possible in this breed, though the most well known are this variations:
- Black
- Chocolate
- Fox
- Gold
- Cream
Too, there are some whiter and darker coloured makrings possible on the breed, so it's even possible too!
I'll Make a picture of one soon for you to see!
Simply type support if you support this breed and I'll put your name down! (commenting with no support makes totally NO sence, since this is an SUPPORT tread, not a not support tread)

i can't see why the word fail is insulting but, have your own feelings about that.
Does the word "fail" not have negative connotations to it? When you say something is "fail", are you not implying there is something negative about it?

for me your post was more on cracking down on the lab breed itself and putting on more reasons to not get it on this site because now there are catahoulas introduced.
Read back to my older posts in this thread and the posts made by other people. We gave tons of reasons as to why we don't support Labradors on Alacrity.

my tread was made LONG beofre whola of ala even heard of the catahoula dogs
And Catahoulas were chosen before Labradors because they got more support - if you read the comments in this thread you'd know why so many people don't support Labradors, but support Catahoulas.

Uhhhhh kind of insulting to call my post "fail". Catahoulas are a breed FULL of jillions of different markings and merle and splotches and brindle and ticking and spotting and patches.

Labradors aren't. That's probably why the Cata was thought of after this thread popped up and was still chosen instead of the Lab.
lol fail. as you can see this rtread was made LONG before there was even some talking about the catahoula dogs. ofcourse this tread is still around, but t
ot as active as it was before them

i still think they would look far too generic and the art would look similar to the Catahoula. I heard that there will be round 20 breeds on Ala and I would hate to have a space wasted on a breed that looks like another breed already on the site, instead of putting in another breed that looks unique [like basenjis or koolies or something]

I don't really care one way or the other because I don't want labs...but.

http://labradornet.com/brindle.html

Brindle and other sorts of markings are classified as "mismarks" in labs, but they exist, in the same way that white exists in GSDs, even if it's against certain standards. And merle in APBTs and any number of other rare mismarks that people breed for here on ala.
I don't see why labs couldn't have non-standard markings on alacrity like all the other breeds.

The thing is some people breed a lot and correct me if I'm wrong, Labs can't have things like brindles. And Ala can't crossbreed to do that so the labs would have to be one color. Some people breed just for distinct markings and it would ruin the point in that to have regular colors like black and it wouldn't go well in the Custom Tool.
