Taxidermy Shelf!
Sometimes when I lose a dog, the most frustrating part for me is losing the scene I worked so hard to build! Or losing a beautiful dog that I was proud to have in my kennel. Or I'll see a gorgeous dog in my dogs' lineage, but it's dead, what a shame - no way to tell how much farther back the line goes, either!
I propose an option when dogs die to put them on a 'Taxidermy Shelf'. Dogs on the Shelf will, of course, be dead. They won't be able to breed or trial, they won't have energy, health, hunger or mood, and so on. But! They will still be able to be decorated. That way, we can still show off the beautiful dogs we've had, we can keep scenes we've arranged, and you can keep looking back in your dog's lineage even if a parent is dead (which is something I think should be changed regardless of if the Shelf is made or not).
Please support!

EDIT: Was saying something about trialing dog age limit but got my numbers messed up. nevermind! :p
What's the point of immortal dogs? Maybe a little while ago this would of been a good idea but with that 20 year limit of breeding and trialing I don't think it's worth it.

I've already placed a request in for development on a new (or at least improved) lineage viewing system that I am hopeful will be approved and put in effect.

Though for now, if you have trouble checking your dog's lineages on retired/deceased ones, go to their page and add "&action=viewlineage" after their ID and you will be able to see further back. :)

Likewise "&action=viewoffspring" if you wish to view the dog's total offspring.

It's not much, but it's better than nothing at this point in time.

IDK if I support, I see it kind of like having an immortal dog [except it can't breed]. I think if people want to keep their dogs images they can screencap/save them.
I do however, support being able to look back on the lineage of dead/retired dogs.

No, part of the point would be that the shelf wouldn't be part of the main kennel, it would be a separate page like User Shop or Recent Posts.

It wouldn't have to be called Taxidermy Shelf, something like Past Friends or Hall of Fame would work just as well.

And yeah.. basically like dolls? But it sounds A LOT creepier that way XD

I personly would never use this if it is called a taxidermy shelf.

Also i would not like this to be part of my main kennel. It would make going through peoples dogs quite confusing.

So would these dogs be basicly dolls that you dress up? Or are they stuck in the scene how they died?
