Breeding Perk Disappointment
So, back when perks were first released, I (as well as some other people who I spoke to) was under the impression that breeder perks would show adult images in the pup predictor and would also allow us to see adult images when puppies were born. I think Rob herself even mentioned this back when she was in chat more often. However, this never happened, and with the new Bandana of Maturity coming out, it seems like there is no intention of this ever happening.
The TP boost is nothing compared to what Chances can do, and the 4 litter thing comes from bunnies which sell for insanely cheap because of Easter. So basically I think there's no real benefit to having a breeder's perk right now.
I think we should either actually be able to see adult images in the pup predictor like the breeder perk was originally going to include, or else maybe there should even be an option for people to trade in their breeder perk for the bones back (or at least some of the bones) since it doesn't do what we were promised it would do.
I hate to complain about this, but being able to see adult images was THE ONLY reason I wanted the breeder perk in the first place. So I feel like I'm not really getting what I paid for. Sorry :/
So who else thinks that we should totally be able to see adult images with the breeder perk?

That's a handy trick, Jackdaw! I'll definitely be using that. But I would also like to be able to see the adult images without having to edit the URL of the picture every time... :/

In all fairness, the Chances cost more than the breeder perk does, and it's a combination of the two that makes the process well worth the while. You gain a higher TP outcome by equipping the Chance(s) and having the perk(s) active, which means it is worth a lot more than not having a perk and simply owning a Chance (or two).<br /><br />
It also means you do not have to choose between having four pups or another companion that alters puppy stats or appearances.<br /><br />
For 10 bones, I think the perk is very well worth the while and we receive exactly what we are entitled for the cost in comparison. Though it would certainly be nice to suggest an option to tick a box for adult images in the pup predictor for everyone. :)
Absolutely! The pup images are cute, but I want to know what they will grow into. I now use that bandana of maturity - before that I used the custom tool.<br /> <br /> The breeder's perk should give us what we were told it would.

Here is an idea that might make the breeder perk worth more: when you go to breed two dogs you have more options, for example:<br /> <br /> after you get to the page for breeding two dogs, you see a table listing the parents markings, and O-15% and O+15% next to each. these would influence the chance of that marking appearing in the pups.<br /> <br /> Below that would be O-25% male and O+25% female, you can only select one, and it will influence the chance of what gender the pups are. support?

I give my full support. The reason I bought the perk was for the adult images :/ Then when the rabbits came out with NOTHING for breeder perk'd accounts, I felt cheated. Not much point in having the perk with only the 10% TP boost now.

I also agree. I regret buying the breeder's perk as it is (I only like the button it gives me on my userpage!), and if the adult images in the pup predictor as promised, I want my bones back. Same with being able to view a puppy's adult image on it's page. <br /> <br /> I do not breed for TP, so the breeder's perk is a waste to me otherwise.
