I don't recall if I had to put my birthdate on ala, but I think it would be awesome if the 18+ thread was unaccesible for those below 18 years. I've noticed that people have been going into it and they are way younger.
Yes, I did go into the thread when I was 18, but I was only about a month shy. However, there are way younger people that are YEARS shy entering that thread.
I think that if we did out our birthdate/age, that it can be programmed that those below 18 can not enter at all. The warning is not helping and I think that something should be done before something bad happens.

There is a "What's Your Age?" thread in the forums. Chances are if this were in violation of COPPA, it would have been removed already.

No support. <br /> <br /> Not only because of what was listed, but Robyn already gave the go-ahead to people under 18. As long as it's not blatantly advertised.<br /> <br /> We obviously all know when someone with a large age gap to 18 enters the board, I do agree that they need to be dealt with.<br /> <br /> HOWEVER, birthdates can easily be faked, and I think all these restrictions are just going to build up hype and curiosity. Which will lead to players under 18 entering the board anyway.

I did haha, I went on the COPPA website. I'm still not 100% on the rules though so don't take what I said as fact

Oh. ]:<br /> Maybe if people had to type in their birth year to enter the 18+ section? Birth year isn't included in "personal information" with COPPA.
