Breeding Newbies
Ha, the title threw me off too XDOkay, I've noticed that throughout my time on ala, that it seems like a lot of new members want to focus on breeding immediately. This is fine, and I have no problem with this. However, a lot of them, I've seen, tend to buy dogs/breed because the female is in heat and feel like they need to breed immediately. Most of the time, these dogs aren't trained and the pups end up with low TP. Are these pups sold? Possibly, but at the same time, how many people retire dogs dogs? I know that as a newbie, I wouldn't want people retiring the pups that I spent my cash to get. This may not seem like it would greatly affect someone, but how many newbies might have quit because of this?
My proposal, is to have a quick quiz for when a newbie wants to breed for the first time. They can look in the FAQ's, especially if they don't know, but that is what we want them to do. The video is there, and yes, there is a tutorial, but how many people actually read/watch it? I still see in chat people asking how to breed.
The breeding video and FAQ can still be there to look back on, but the quiz should be something to show that they DID read it :)
Examples of simple questions:
When does a female first go into heat?
At what age does a dog go in a puppy slot?
What can increase if both parents are "maxed?"
So, if you agree, good. If you don't, say why :)
I want some feedback on this ^^
