Stupid ******* breeders (rant)

Seems like I rant a lot these days... :/

I just found out a friend of mine and his buddy are breeding pitbulls and charging a really high price for them. He never would tell me if they were show dogs. (so I assume they aren't.) I laid into him about how wrong it was, how he should encourage rescue instead, etc. I kid you not, these were some of his exact answers.

the peple after those type of dogs want to know where they came from
good home
hes just like any other breeder/seller
its the buyers choice
to get ffrom where they want
not the dog seller fault all im saying
dog seller trying to make money

they breed with the best of the best and sell the for high

not all breeders
keep their dogs
they keep the main one of the source and the best pup
people decide what they want

its not the breeders fault for their deaths
you need to research more you ar ejust on the negative side
those dogs are unwants for no reason mad people go to the pound or place to look for their dogs that would best suit them
not all animals are meant to have homes
yeah im saying its the owners choice to buy them most bought dogs have papers knew who owned them before hand
popping out more puppys doesnt hurt the population any
most pups brought too pound are from bad trainers
the ones that NEED it dont get chosen for a reason
you need to realize that
they are nto properly fit to be pets

I hate to end my friendship with this dude over this, but Im so mad I am about to blow a gasket. He told me I was nothing but an animal activist and he wasn't going to listen to what I had to say. Some friend huh? I even offered to show him proof of what he's doing and he refused, saying "it isn't the breeders fault."

Anybody else ever have this sh*t happen? I'm just so frustrated and not really sure what to do at this point.

Edit; He just said that puppies who don't find homes will more than likely be sent to the pound. Wow.

He was all spouting that they were AKC registered so they are guaranteed to be good dogs. I told him his papers were poop because they don't guarantee the dog is healthy or even has a good temperment. He just said "hurr yes it does!" I even tried to show him Pedigree Dogs Exposed, but he just said he "wasn't going to focus on the negative side." Sadly he does not live in the same state as me, so I will need to look into if there are any BSL laws where he is. (NJ I believe) He claims they are a "popular breeder everyone wants to buy from." Yet he claims he can't even find homes for all the puppies yet, only half of the litter. The litter is almost 12 pups! I didn't even know they HAD litters that big except in rare cases. :| I agree completely with you. It's people like this that are damaging the breed more and more. I'm a huge pitbull lover and they need to be in well qualified homes. The pound is literally FLOODED with them. I have a rescue right now that I can't find a home for and the local rescues are too full too help. Now this yuckbag is pumping MORE unwanted dogs into the world? Its morons like this that are getting BSL laws put everywhere. F.uck him.

The people who love the breed and want one adopt one from the shelter. The people who buy from a shady backyard breeder are either doing it because of ignorance or because they have ulterior motives. Tell him that backyard breeding Pit Bulls without temperament tests can lead to dog attacks, bites, dog deaths, maulings and lawsuits. He's very likely going to be contributing to the people who buy these dogs and keep them to look "tough". If you really wanna bust his a.ss and your state/province has BSL in effect, drop a note at the humane society that he's breeding Pit Bulls. He'll get fined and his dogs taken away but it's much better than backyard breeding potentially unstable dogs who will be sent to live in homes with potentially abusive people. Pit Bulls are not a breed to f.uck around with. They can do a ton of damage if they decide to attack (I love the breed, I know that Pit Bulls do not "snap" or have locking jaws or etc etc). Backyard breeding these dogs is what's causing them to become feared.
