Phobias?
So, I was wondering, does anyone have any phobias that they know of. And I'm not saying this to be funny.
This is a serious topic and issue so don't joke around, please. It's different if you want to make fun of yourself, but not others.
So, starting off, Al has globophobia, which is the fear of balloons. It's not so much the balloon itself, but the fear of it popping. Being around balloons does make me more anxious, but not enough to completely bother me. NOW if a balloon was to pop near me, I get EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I experience signs that are similar to panic attacks, including sweating, anxiety, shaking, increased heart rate, etc. Yesterday, a balloon popped right next to my face and I had to leave the area to calm myself down. The best part was that the balloons were Balloon ANIMALS and therefore people were wlaking with them and coming near me, and because I didn't fully calm down, I didn't get to enjoy the next hour because of the fear someone was going to pop one in my face.
Why does Al have this? Because when I was younger, someone had a giant helium balloon, and decided to over inflate it, which left it popping in my face. It, at that moment, left an actual mark on my face.
Then, there is also Scoleciphiobia, which is the fear of worms. Seeing them scares the living daylights out of me. I can't look at them, I can't think of them, I can't even hear a description of them.
Where it came from? I had a dream when I was younger, and in it, instead of water raining down, there were worms....so yea
anyone else?

"There's a word for that Blackwolf, the one where you get panic attacks."<br /> <br /> Anybody can have a panic attack because of a phobia if it's severe.

I'm afraid of people, to the extent that I won't answer the door. When looking out a window, in the back of my mind I'm concerned that someone driving by might see me. ): I'm also afraid of phones. I refuse to use them, even in minor emergencies. This probably ties in with my fear of people.<br /> <br /> These are extremely debilitating phobias, and the worst part of it is when someone who doesn't understand phobias tells you to 'face your fears' or to 'get over it' x_x if phobias were that easy to overcome, I wouldn't have them, now would I?

There's a word for that Blackwolf, the one where you get panic attacks. It's not coming to me though. And also, thank you for your contribution, but technically this is in the 18+ talk o.O <br /> <br /> <br /> Surprisingly, I don't have claustrophobia. But if you put me in a GIANT place, like Walmart or BJ's, I get overwhelemed and on a few occassions when young, I passed out in BJ's. The scary thing is that each time before I did, I thought i saw blood everywhere T-T<br /> <br /> So, I won't say it's a phobia, because I can go into the stores perfectly fine, but my subconscious apparently doesn't like it. I have to bring sugar drinks with me whenever I go to prevent myself from passing out, even now.
I've quite a few phobias, my main one is of beed/wasps. The reason I have this phobia is because when I was about 5, I was playing in my backyard and I saw a bee and started running, I turned my head a bit to see if it was chasing me, and I was stung in the eye. A few years later, I was stung in the hand by a wasp. To this day (I'm almost 15), I will almost scream, or scream, whenever one comes within 10 feet of me.<br /> <br /> I was also afraid of balls, basketballs, soccer, baseballs etc. Hitting me in the head due to me facing off against a team when playing soccer in the 4th grade. <br /> <br /> I'm terrified of hights, I use to love it when I was a kid, but for some reason I've grown more and more afraid of heights. I don't believe there's a reason either...<br /> <br /> Let's see, I have panic attacks whenever its hot out, and I'm in a very public place, like big streets of New York or something. Dunno why, but it puts too much pressure on me, and I basically go insane. >.>

I have a <i>wicked</i> fear of balloons, propane tanks, grills, basically anything that can explode. <br /> <br /> I also have trypophobia. (It's really freaking sickening, so feel free to google it at your leisure.)

Moths. I can't even be in the same room as one. Can't even look at a photo of one. If there is one on my back or front porch and I have to go outside, I will go the long route.<br /> To me, there is nothing more terrifying than a fuzzy, chubby, fast, erratic, moth flying around. My skin is starting to f.ucking crawl just thinking about it.
I don't like balloons either. Makes me nervous when I'm in the same room as them.<br /> <br /> I have a fear of the unknown after death. It keeps me awake if I think too hard about it, just.. freaks me out. At the same time though I have a fascination of it.
