I just needed to rant
Okay sure I'm not perfect myself, I sure as hell don't love everyone out there. But there are some that just need to be clocked in the head.
They are the ignorant a-holes who feel the need to spit on soldiers or be rude to them. The other day when I was still living in New Jersey I witnessed a gentlemen in his military uniform be spit on and glared at. What did he do? Nothing, he held his head low and walked on. I became so over whelmed with anger at that moment and I realized that America needs an overhaul. That man you spit on fought for our country and our freedom. He risked his tail so you could walk freely you scum.bag.
I come from a military family so I take this a bit more to heart than I probably should. My father and fiancee's father both fought in Wars. My father-in-law, God rest his soul, fought in Vietnam and came back with serious problems. My father is now 100% disabled and doesn't have a normal life now. My cousin who is about 3 years older than me, I being 20, now has to live with only one leg and the fact that he wasn't there to see his daughter be born. My uncle went back and decided to go over to Iraq because he felt the need to protect this country again and he lost his life over it and left two children and a wife behind.
The people in those uniforms do not deserve what people do to them. Spitting on them, rude remarks, any sort of vial things people do. Someone can spit on an Army vet. and no one bats an eyelash but when someone makes a racist remark the whole f-ing world stops for that moment. This country is just f-ed up and people are just cruel.
Like I said I've had my moments of nastiness but since seeing a lot of what I've seen I've stopped. I'd rather not be childish anymore. I have a life I need to start and acting like a cruel child just doesn't fit in.

I agree spitting on soldiers is just wrong. But there's no need for racist comments. Period.

<i>my moments of crude and racist comments towards some. [...] But if you look at the select individuals I'm doing it towards they ask for it. Saggy pants to their knees, thinking it's cool to be in a gang, treating women with disrespect like it's a good thing. "<br /> <br /> What does race have to do with any of those?</i><br /> <br /> ^This.<br /> <br /> I know people of every race who dress and act like that. Is there a specific race that makes it more acceptable to call them names?

I've never seen someone spit on a vet, and I've never seen someone even think of being that disrespectful to one in uniform, certainly.<br /> However, I see racism every day. Please don't use one to excuse the other. Racist remarks are uncalled for and unacceptable no matter what.

You're very smart to say what you did :) I think it's ridiculous the way our Vets and soldiers are treated too. I knew a Vet and kind of know a soldier (through my mom). Very nice people that have served for our country, to keep everyone here in America safe. If people that treated them so poorly knew what they did and do everyday just so we CAN wear our pants down to our knees or heck, have freedom of speech so we can protest, they'd be paying much better respect to our troops. Immaturity is for children. I was pretty certain people older than about 23 or so were supposed to lead us down good roads so we can do good for others and ourselves. Guess we can learn from their mistakes and bad doings. Lol. Even though we shouldn't be subjected to that at all anyways. Goes to show that People are stupid and a Person can do only a little good. Or something like that. xD
