So I am definitely sticking my neck out by saying that I do not believe in Purgatory, Limbo, etc. There is Heaven and there is Hell, that's it. Yes, I believe the Bible. Now, you're like, "Well, the Bible is just a book of fiction." It's not. And you'll say, "Prove it." I will. Not in this thread, but once I've finished typing up my response for the Atheism Vs. Christianity thread, you'll see my proof.<br /><br />Having said that, I believe in Heaven and Hell, based on the Bible. There are a lot of religions out there that claim the name "Christian," but believe something entirely different that doesn't correlate with the Bible. I believe the Bible is solely, inspired, written Word of God, and whatever is in that Book is what God wants us to know and do. Anything that anyone says that contradicts the Bible I do not believe. And you may say, "That's really harsh." Well, you may think what you like. God said it in His Word and used much more harsher words than I use, calling those who spread rumors and lies about the Bible "hypocrites," "dirty dogs," etc. Don't think that the Bible hasn't been persecuted in just today's age. It's been attacked and ridiculed since Jesus' time and after His death.<br /><br />You do not "just fall asleep" when you die. You have a soul, and that soul will either go to Heaven or Hell when you die. The difference between humans and animals (who don't have souls) is that humans have consciences. We know what's right, what's wrong. We can think for ourselves. Animals, on the other hand, rely more on their instincts to survive. Although some would disagree and say that animals have souls because they can respond to humans, it's not so. Yes, your dog knows tricks, and your dog can do this and that, but realize that humans are the only "animals" (for lack of a better word) that have domesticated animals. We have our own languages. We wear clothing, we go to school. Animals are, for the most part, wild. They do not have souls, no matter how much we like to think they do.<br /><br />Anyway, back to the topic. When you die, you either go to Heaven or Hell. Now, Hell, some like to believe, is in the center of the earth. Heaven is far, far away, beyond the galaxies.<br /><br />You can only get to Heaven if you've trust Christ as your Saviour. You may not like hearing this, but anything good you've done is worthless in God's sight. It doesn't matter how much you've walked the little old lady across the street, or donated to charities, etc. The fact of the matter is that you'll die and go to Hell if you haven't repented of your sins.<br /><br />God doesn't care about the outside as much as He does about the inside. I would delve more deeply into this subject, but for space's sake, and because I don't want to be long-winded, I'll stop here.
