The best dogs I've had were pits.<br /> <br /> They don't make good guards, though. That's best left to rotties due to their propensity for barking, even though they're generally pushovers, too.<br /> <br /> I like molossers quite a bit in general, heh. I'm not much of a dog person save for that type. Vicious <i>looking</i> animals that turn out to be gentle in most cases. Even with other animals, if raised right. and sometimes randomly. Ex-stepdad's pit loved to have cats around him, despite not being raised with them, as did the pit I had, who didn't come from a cat-home originally.

Maybe visually :P But if when it comes to someone breaking in. You'd be better off with a cat than a APBT with the correct temperament. xD

Hahha idk about them being a horrible guard dog... I think the media has made them into quite the burglar-deterrent, even if they'd rather lick you to death then bite you lol

Errr a lot of these dogs aren't actually APBT.. and are actually American Bullies... <a href=http://mrpitbull.com/Pitbulls.html rel=nofollow>[LINK]</a><br>But I love APBT and I think that only the most responsible dog owners should own them.

My opinion on pit bulls is that they are the same as any other dog overall. They do show aggression towards other animals naturally but towards humans they rate neck to neck with the golden retriever (AKC says). <br /> <br /> I've never seen a pit that was aggressive towards humans. I think that people need to be knowledgeable of their animals breed in general. Peoples stupidity has really given them a bad wrap.
