"No stupid mountain lion will get anywhere near Star! I promise!" Enna stood in front of Star like a rock barrier, Kaje stood on her other side and Fresa sniffed for intruders. "Don't worry, Mist. She'll be safe! I promise!" Fresa solemnly swore, already feeling as though the new foals were part hers.

Knight:<br /> Sunset nodded enthusiastically but I was a little hesitant.I nodded nonetheless and followed after them.

"Good, thanks guys. Star I want you to stay here and the other horses will stay in case the cougar comes back or anything. Now are you ready?"

Sunset:<br /> I'll go with you to!"I said jumping up.Knight keen ears though heard that and ran over to me.<br /> "No!Absolutely not!I can't let you go close to humans"I tried to butt in but he cut me off,"I don't care if their nice I don't want you to go!It's dangerous."I stared at Knight though he was more of the grown up type figure didn't mean I listened to it.I stood up to him staring him in the eye.<br /> "I'm going and that's that.If you want to come your welcome to but if not go and I'll catch up to you later okay?"He only averted his gaze and nodded stiffly that he'd come.

"Eh, I've been much better." Star said gazing out blankly "I know I'm not going to make it. I've loss lots of blood and I would get an infection from all these cuts." She added.<br /> <br /> Misty watched and decided she had to get the people to help, there was a farm that I have seen, owned but a nice couple, they never tried chasing us. "I have decided that there's only one way to save Star.. With the help of people. Yes crazy I know but I can't stand just standing here waiting. They are nice and never take part in the roundups. Run away if you like but I'm going to take the humans here, show them Star and see what happens." Misty said to the whole herd.

Sunset:<br /> Misty walked over out of hearing range and replied.Sunset's eyes went wide at the thought of luring those two leggers over to us again.She thought better of it and walked away.I walked over to Star and laid down next to her feeling her blood soak the ground beside her.<br /> "Hey you okay?"I asked her.Stupid question I know but needed something.

Mist walked out of hearing distance of her foal and replied "I doubt it. She really got torn up. I shocked that she is even strong enough to speak. I almost think that I should draw the humans over here. They might be able to heal her. If not they would probably put her out of her suffering." Mist was shocked that she was talking like this, luring the humans over here. She shook her head again. "She doesn't have that much time left."

Sunset:<br /> I looked over at the mother of the young filly Star.She seemed saddened.I looked to my brother.<br /> "She knows her filly won't last the night.I'd be surprised if she did really."I looked away from Knight and got up slowly approaching the others.<br /> "Is she going to be okay?"I asked Star's mother.

"Well ok. But I can't control if I survive. There's only so-" Star started to say but broke off with a coughing fit. Misty glanced at the other horses and shook her head sadly. A single tear slid down the blue roan pant's face.

(sorry guys I'm back!!!)<br /> <br /> Knight:<br /> Sunset had gone off to join the others.I kept a close eye on her from the shade.I wasn't going to lose her like I did my herd.Before she was able to join their game a mountain lion appeared out of the bushes taking down the youngest filly.I jumped straight up and ran to head Sunset off she stood awestruck as the lion ran away.<br /> "Sunset!Are you okay?"I yelled.She didn't answer as I approached the little filly.She looked bad.Her front leg seemed broken maybe and she was covered in long gashes.I walked away toward the forest the lion had appeared from and stood guard making sure it wasn't coming back.<br /> <br /> Sunset:<br /> I was excited about playing with the other two fillies remembering how I used to play with my my friends Sasha and Kurt.Before I could catch up to them a lion jumped out of the shadows like that of a nightmare coming to life.I stood in my tracks horror struck.Once it had gone it had done it's damage.The little filly named Star had gashes and maybe a broken leg.I stepped back from the others trying not to be in the way.I ran up to join my brother in the forest instead.
