Dressing up your animals?
I don't agree with it, personally. I mean, sure. It's cold out, you have some dog native to a tropical climate, but you have to go for a walk. Throw a sweater on. I don't mind that. But a shirt? 'Pants?' Dog Costumes for Halloween? Really? Why! It's not like the dog is gonna get anything. Why take your dog out on Halloween. Poor thing is probably already freaked out that you forced it to wear some weird costume that is designed to make it look 'human' Poor thing. Anyway. Thoughts? Opinions?

Personally, my dog -hates- any sort of clothing or "dress up" item we've subjected her to. We put reindeer antlers on her at Christmas. She had them off in seconds.

The only time it really served a purpose was when she was about two months old and she'd literally shake from the cold. We gave her a sweater.

Other than that, I really don't see a point to it.

And I think it looks stupid.

Its like, what if you put a lion in a dress. The 'king of the jungle' so to speak.

I dont think anyone who dresses there dog is going to run out and try and squeeze a lion into a dress. because no matter what you put the lion into, its still goina bit your head off. it dosent change the animal in any way.

It wouldn't change my impression of the animal at all. People dress their dogs up all the time - does that make me think all dogs are sissybabies now? No. It doesn't change anything IMO

I'm saying
A wolf is an image of beauty, of power, courage and strength.
Dogs reflect that, too me.
Its like, what if you put a lion in a dress. The 'king of the jungle' so to speak. Except for me, I find the wolf much prettier and just so beautiful. Imagine an animal that you love, because of it's strength and beauty, and throw it in a dress.

To say "dogs are colorblind" means that dogs cannot see any colours and see in shades of gray/white/black...

no to say colorblind is to know what it means. i had a friend who was colorblindm he painted a beach bright orange because he thought it was yellow. dose that mean he never saw colors? No, it means theres a gap in what colors he can see.

"Imagine a wolf in some sort of frilly dress. That. is disgusting."
Okay, I am. Now what? How does that change the wolf in any way? What if instead of a dress, he was wearing a hat? Or a bandana around his neck?

Exactly Kne. I'd prefer if there was a reason. I'm saying, in my personal opinion, that I do not like pink frilly dresses on dogs. I mean, putting a frilly dress on a small breed.
Whats next?
Imagine a wolf in some sort of frilly dress. That. is disgusting. That is what the human race is morphing what used to be an amazing, courage symbolizing species.
I mean come ON. How courageous is a pink frilly dress?

"Yeah as i said dogs ARE colorblind. whats your point?"
To say "dogs are colorblind" means that dogs cannot see any colours and see in shades of gray/white/black... dogs are partially colorblind, because they can still see shades of blue and stuff. They are not fully colorblind

<I think that animals should be used for what they were bred for, not for entertainment by putting clothes on it.
Border collies were ment to herd, not be dressed up.
German shepherds were ment to herd(i think..)And protect. Not be dressed up.
Huskies were ment to run. Not to be dressed up.>

It is inhumane to use a lot of dogs for what they were bred for now a days. Such as American Pit Bull Terriers, Dachshunds, American Bulldogs, Dogo Argentino, I can go on.

My German Shepherd mix has Schutzhund training, that's what the breed has been created for, for the last few hundred years or so. He could still work and wear a shirt. :p Although I'm not for dressing up my own dog unless there's a reason.
