Polls for new breeds

Honestly, I hate when there is a poll for a new breed. I do like new breeds to be added and our choices, but a few reasons why...

-People post adverts saying 'Vote for [breed name here] [Insert comment here] [insert picture here]'.
-When one person brings it up in chat, chat is all about future breeds to come and about the poll.

Solution ?

A private poll for new breeds. Yep, Private. You can still vote the way it is, but the answers are hidden so people don't go about it in chat like, '[breed name here is winning]!! *dances*' and stuff. Then when the poll is over, they say who the winner is.

Hm... Yeah, I kind of support this. The ads drive me crazy. Not sure keeping it private will help, though. I can imagine someone starting a trend of "Vote for ------ because we don't know who's winning!!"

Hmmm I do like the idea... but it won't stop the "vote for ___!!!" ads/posts.<br /> I think the only way to get it to stop would be for Rob/an admin to say "stop doing this" but Rob stated in chat the other day that "the advertisements can't make you vote for X breed" so I guess we will have to suffer under the clogging "vote for" ads until the poll is done :(
