What happened in chat? [I apologize for so many questions]
when all the mods and such get on and see what is in the forum and hear about what happened in chat. I can picture a bunch of updates will happen tomorrow
Kommandant, what is happening tomorrow?

"I am wondering what would happen if all Ala users just didn't buy anything from the shops, would Ala like crash or something?"
Nah, people would start selling items in user shops for ridiculous prices [but not as high as the shops which is.. very high]. I can see the big increase in scholar collar price as a nice way to rent out my SC and make cash ;)

"When the messages your admins send to users make your users cry, it's time for things to change."
I know that many users on Ala are younger players who tend to get their feelings hurt quite easily, but I was talking to an Ala-friend of mine recently who got their feelings hurt because an admin had basically told them to stop talking about their life/past. I know that it's a serious issue when users start talking about their real names/location/address [this shouldn't be done on any site, really.] but I don't think admins should be trying to silence users who are talking about their life/a difficult past. I was severely disappointed to hear this from my friend because the issue was something that cannot and should not be silenced.
Though I do not know the whole story, this is just what I've gathered from the friend. I will not form negative opinions about the admin/mod because I don't know what went down exactly. It just really depressed me.
Glad to see this thread around, hopefully it does some good for Ala.

I agree completely with everything that's been said, particularly Nitrous. :D I for one, having donated a fair bit to Alacrity, haven't donated a penny in a long time simply because I haven't been happy with how Alacrity's been going. Unhappy player = no monies for Ala.

And I do agree that some staff members could use a good talking to, or shouldn't be in a position of such power. A bad mod makes Alacrity look bad, plain and simple.
I am wondering what would happen if all Ala users just didn't buy anything from the shops, would Ala like crash or something?
I agree with everyone that's been posted here. And I completely respect Kommandant posting what I had to say privately.

I have one thing to add that nobody has already said. When the messages your admins send to users make your users cry, it's time for things to change.
how did they get like that though? did the power go to some of their heads? I can't see how they would get elected to mod status as some of them are acting right now
I've noticed that too. "Stop liking what I don't like" is a bad way to handle things.
hahaha Gamzee, I know of like 100 times when that happened, I just can't wait till tomorrow, there will probably be mass chaos because no one can afford anything anymore
I love Ala, I love it to death, I'm on here all day every day. But I have noticed that sometimes admins/mods/whatever let their personal opinions get in the way of enforcing rules in Chat. I will come up with a bizarre example.. [didn't actually happen]
We are in chat talking about colours we like. I like blue, Nitrous likes red, Kommandant likes green [sorry, lol I just used any names]. Me and Kommandant don't like red, but a mod does and we are discussing what we don't like about red. There is no arguing, no fighting, it's just a calm conversation and nobody's feelings are getting hurt. Mod likes red, says "OKAY MOVE IT TO DEBATE". :\
