"sure, let me just bring my sax and backpack into the loft" I stood up and kept the icepack to my head. I walked to the barn door, holding onto something along the walls or the wall as I went.
I followed him in sitting across from him.I was thinking to myself this was a horrible start but I brushed the thought away.
"Do you need a place to stay tonight? You can stay at my house that is if your in dog form."I asked I wouldn't care if he said no I'd see him at school the next day.
I took the ice pack from Chloe and held in against my forehead. I walked to the table in the barn and sat on one of the surrounding chairs.
Olive mounted Sage but he didn't look so ggod.Once he was one I quickly trotted over to him and got hold of Sage's bridle.I lead us back to the barn I quickly dismounted Cacciatore and ran to the icebox.Inside was a couple freezer packs frozen solid.I grabbed one and some napkins out of a draer near the fridge.I wrapped the pack and rushed back out to Olive, helping him dismount then giving him the pack.
"No, I'm good..." I clutched Sage's reigns and tryed to get one foot in the stirrup.
I mounted her despite how dizzy I was. I pressed the back of my hand to my forehead because the back of my head was cool and my head still hurt.
I saw Olive wobble when he got up.I knew he was lying when he said he was fine.
"Do you need any help?"I asked concerned.
I grunted and sat up.
"Yea, I'm fine." I lied. My head was pulsing and I had a massive ache reaching from my forehead to my lower back. I stood up, or at least tried to. I wobbled around when I got up and tried to walk back to Sage and grab her reins.
Olive and I didn't talk will we rode though I wanted to.After about an hour something spooked Sage she went flying then reared almost knocking Cacciatore off balance. He reared and luckily I stayed on this time but Olive wasn't so lucky.I leapt off Cacciatore.
"Are you okay?"I asked concered.
We trotted along a bumpy path. I bounced up and down and my butt was hurting from the rough ride.
After around an hour, I made the mistake of knocking my feet against Sage's flanks. She sped up and nearly ran into Caccitore before she reared up on me and I fell off. I landed flat on my back and was in too much pain and shock to get up. My head and lower back were throbbing and I let out a whimper.
I tried to supress a laugh but it didn't work out well.I got Sage out of her stall and got another saddle and bridle out.Once she was ready I helped Olive mount her. Then I went over to Cacciatore and mounted him gracefully.
"Come on we'll go on a quick trail ride."I lead him to my favorite part of the property the encouching forest. It had several dirt paths cutting into the forest I found the trail with a sign marked #6 and trotted forward.
