I have heard some women say that popping their cherry was REALLY painful. Although I have noticed those who have told me that lost their virginity when they were very young. (Like 13-14)

I'm really not sure that I agree that how careful your partner is has a lot to do with whether it hurts or not. My partner at the time was not particularly careful at all and it didn't hurt for me. There was about 3 seconds of slight discomfort and I was good to go.

I have a feeling it just differs from person to person. Obviously, you don't want your partner to be jamming it in there the first time but I think even if they are sweet and careful depending on who it is it has the potential to hurt.
Oops, sorry for the double-post - my internet went wonky for a second, and restarting it apparently just caused problems :P
I just have to say: contrary to myth, the hymen is not (or very rarely is) a solid barrier inside the body partl opening - usually it is a thin half moon of skin at the base of the body partl opening, keeping the opening slightly smaller. This ski is meant to stretch and accommodate, so technically, if your partner is considerate of you and willing to take some time, it shouldn't really hurt at all. And in some cases, a person's hymen is naturally open enough that penetrative sex will be fine from the start.

When I first decided I wanted to be on the receiving end of penetrative sex, my girlfriend and I tried with the strap-on we used for her, and found out it was WAY too big for me. So for a long time she simply used her fingers on me, gradually increasing the amount each time (Note: having several fun times before trying penetration helps you relax!). We also bought a much smaller object to "practice" with - but technically all you need are fingers, so this will work for anyone. Just make sure your partner is willing to take the time with you, and be patient - it make take several (or many) tries before your body is comfortable enough to accept penetration. But if the person you're having sex with respects you, they should have no problem with this. Besides, there are multiple ways to have sex and achieve fun time, in the meantime :)

Because my girlfriend was patient and considerate with me, my first experiences with penetrative sex were painless and pleasurable. They were also a great exercise in trust, and a very reassuring reminder of how much my girlfriend cares for me and loves me, and wants to make sex - of all sorts - result in only good feelings for both of us.

I think it can hurt for girls their first time because their hymen breaks, but I heard it can be broken by non-sexual activities? & Anal sex and probably body partl sex can both hurt the first time unless you've had something... there before. Idk how to explain it without making myself sfsfhdfs, weirded out idk. :(
I LOVE anal sex :) Im the one who had to get my husband into it.
I have hypersexuality, so I ALWAYS want sex :)
Whether or not it hurts depends on a lot of factors Guardian, it can be amazing or somewhat painful. My first time was painful but the guy wasn't being easy at all, but I have friends who said losing theirs was extremely enjoyable.
i have never had it.Does sex hurt? Mostly for the first time?
LMAO at the raw steak comment! XD

Day one I want just want to strangle someone. Day two and after I get stuck in "I NEED IT RIGHT NOW" mode, which sucks because my boyfriend passes out at the sight (and sometimes thought) of blood. No joke, he'll turn white as a sheet and hit the floor. I wonder what would have happened if he had been born a woman... Mwuaha.

Personally, while I want it, I don't find it nearly as enjoyable as normal sex.

It's the opposite for me, I do have an off switch during my period, however the last day of my period and the day right after I am as horny as a teenager.

My man tries to put it in the other place while I'm on my period, he thinks it's a good excuse to do so. That I have a problem with, I just can't get comfortable no matter what. He loves it though, of course. There is just not enough lube in the world for me.
