"Way to drown the children, Frappe," Cobalt called. He sat down on the bank to wait for the daring rescue to play out. The wind picked up, ruffling his fur and he stood up again, tail tucked and ears in worry as the lake water became choppy and more difficult to swim in. Thunder drowned out his low worried whines as he started to pace on the shore, wondering if he'd only be in the way if he jumped in to try to help.
Frappe grabbed Rolo by her neck as if she was her mother. she then ran through an open field with Cobalt hot on her tail. As she neared the nearby lake, her speed began to decline and with a loud grunt, she flung Rolo into the air. The BC landed into the water with a giant splash and Frappe was left on the side laughing. She watched as Rolo began to doggy paddle across to safety. She then began to smack her paws against the water's surface and started to pant harder. It seemed as if she was trying harder and harder to keep her head above water until at once, she was gone. <br /><br />Frappe gasped and looked at Cobalt. She waited a second to see if Rolo was going to come up, but then jumped up and bolted towards the lake. She jumped in as if she was a dog diving champion and landed in the water as welll with a loud splash.
Reserved with strangers but exuberant when excited? Check. Tendency to bound around like an overgrown puppy when excited? Check. This was Cobalt's brother all right. Judging from the shadow-colored coat, he was the famed S.K. Dusk. Dinah's entire hind end shook with the force of her wagging tail. A distant roll of thunder made her flinch, but she shook it off and focused instead on answering the other dog's question.<br /><br />"I live in the same kennel as Cobalt. We're good friends, and he makes everyone very happy." She grinned, tongue lolling out to make the expression comical. "He's a bit of a clown. If you go a little closer to the edge you'll probably see him roughhousing with the other dogs." Dinah bounded over to Dusk, displaying some athleticism of her own in dancing around fallen tree limbs while somehow also turning to give her new acquaintance a puppy-like look of anticipation. "Come on, I'll show you where he is!"<br /><br />She bounded away, passing under a low-hanging branch of a nearby tree as she did.
Kendra woke the second Sheena moved. She jumped up and looked around until she caught Sheena in the corner of her eye. She then watched Sheena wander over to where Dinah was and lay down. She shock her coat and ran quickly after Sheena when she got closer she crawled under the bush to be near to Sheena. She whispered shyly, "are you feeling better now? You were out really fast and for awhile." "I got worried" she admited. Kendra laid down her head in the dirt and looked at the other dogs while waiting for Sheena's reply.

Kineta peered down at all the dogs from a tree and giggled quietly. None of them knew she was here. The wind was picking up a lot, so she worried about them smelling her but for now the wind was blowing in her favor and she would remain secret. She wanted to pull silly puppy tricks on the dogs below. She pawed her goggles to move them back into their proper place. They didn't fit proper her yet since she was so young. She then let out a little gasp of excitemeant as she spoted some kind of nut. She walked skillfully, very squirrel like, towards the nut and picked it up in her mouth. She then let out another quiet giggle. She had one of her favorite things! A nut! Kineta is one of those dogs that seriously does have a squirrel brain therefore her first thought was. "This is perfect for dropping on the dogs below!" She wagged her tail excitedly but slowly so not to give away her presence and waited for a dog to wander below the tree she was in. <br><br><br> Kineta looks like this with a different coat color and her goggles are green like her eyes. <br>

Dusk tilted his head when he heard the familiar name, "Cobalt..? How do you know Cobalt??". A smile crept across Dusk's face. "Cobalt is my brother, I have not seen him for a while now. Is he nearby? I thought I smelled something familiar on the wind.." Dusk, obviously excited, spun in a circle and jumped over Dinah quite athletically. "Our owner gave Cobalt to a good friend and he visited with us a while ago, but after that he poofed and his sisters and I missed him all that much more."
How long have I been out? Sheena wanders around looking for someone and stumbles upon Dinah talking to more strange dogs. She lays in the bushes and watches hoping to find out more about them.
Dinah crouched slightly, ears and tail low as she surveyed this strange dog. He didn't seem aggressive, but Dinah was not one to take chances with strange dogs. Except... this one smelled really familiar. She stood up and sniffed the air, then tilted her head at the larger dog.<br /><br />"Why do you smell like Cobalt?" she asked.
The mysterious dog halted and lay in the shadows. He too caught the scent of something on the wind. Another dog was nearby... Then his acute sense of smell picked up something else in the sudden gust of wind that arose and was gone as quickly as it had come. It was a familiar scent.. and it smelled slightly like... himself? Confused, he slowly crept towards the stronger of the two scents. In a clearing up ahead, he spied a border collie. She had red fur and yellow eyes, and she looked quite stunning as the sunlight danced with her coat. He was slightly unsure, but his curiosity overwhelmed his apprehension. He slowly padded out into the light. His blue coat gleamed as the sunbeams hit it and he walked with the grace of a champion. Not too assertively, he approached the unfamiliar dog, but he sure wasn't submissive. He got about twenty feet away and sniffed the air cautiously, this strange dog smelled okay.
Cobalt's eyes shone with mischief.<br /><br />"Well, if you insist," he he drawled. He crouched like a cat and leaped, tackled both dogs and knocked the young BC off of Frappe. Cobalt and Rollo both went rolling across the ground, snapping at each other in mock aggression.
If Frappe were a human, she would've blushed. Cobalt's comment left her mind to wander into places a doggy mind shouldn't wander into. After shaking her head clear of these "thoughts" Frappe stood up and took a few steps away from Cobalt. She sat down and thumped her tail silently against the ground. <br /><br />Suddenly, a voice rang out from behind her. "Mommy! Where are you?!" Frape turned to see the young Rolo stumbling as she walked against the uneven ground. She saw Frappe and all of a sudden, bolted towards the older dog. "FRAPPE!!!" <br /><br />Both dogs tumbled as the smaller dog barrelled into the larger. Frappe looked at Cobalt before giving him a pleading look. "mind helping her get off of me?
