Pie Crew Adventures (Private)

Soo... since we're all Pie Crewers here I won't bother to lay out too many rules. Just these: one, do what you want as long as it makes sense, and two, feel free to use more than one of your dogs so long as your whole kennel isn't running around in here... that is, you can mention the rest of your dogs or have your own dogs interacting with each other but don't expect me to keep up with all of them as characters. ;) Anyway, without further ado... let the adventures begin!

Kendra sat down next to Dinah and growled softly at Dusk. "We're taking a break, snap out of your little world please and let us all rest." Kendra then looked around forest. "We need to take a water break, anyone hear any creeks?" <br><br> Kineta who was still rather full of energy first turned to talk to Cobalt and Frappe. "I don't need to hear the rest of the story, I'm sure he's out there! I just haven't seen or smelled him yet..." She then realized what Kendra had said. "I'll go look for a creek and maybe I'll find the golden squirrel too!" She flicked her tail at Cobalt in a way saying come on I dare you to come with me. Kineta then troted off the path and into the woods listening, smelling, and jumping up on fallen down trees to get a better view of the world through her goggles.
Dusk padded along with the group, not having trouble with the pace. He trotted at the back, encouraging weary pups to keep going. One of the little ones sat down, tired of the unending journey, and Dusk nudged gently till the pup reluctantly got up and trotted with the others once more. Dusk lifted his head and took in a deep breath of the fresh forest air. Something on the wind smelled familiar, and the promise of warmth and home grew stronger with every stride.
Sheena laughs. "It looks like I'm doing a little better than you. These two troublemakers are doing just fine, too. I'll let you know if we aren't ok."
Dinah flopped on her side at the edge of the road, panting. She understood why Kendra was pushing them so hard, but to be honest she wasn't in the shape she used to be. The aussies were all keeping up easily and Kendra was trying to set a pace that Sha and the puppies could handle, but it had still been a long day and they hadn't stopped for anything but water.<br /><br />"No luck with that golden squirrel?" she asked to cover Sha's whimper when he gingerly lowered himself to lie next to her. The pap's ribs were hurting him badly, she could tell, but no one had said anything and Sha had complained only minimally.<br /><br />"Haven't seen hide or hair of one," Cobalt sighed mournfully. He nudged Frappe. "What do you say, Frappe? See any odd squirrels?"<br /><br />"Squirrels," Sha snorted. His temper had gotten shorter as the day dragged on, and he was starting to snap at odd things. He shut his eyes wearily and turned to Sheena, who had been shepherding Hecubus and Rolo all this time. "How are you doing with those pups?"
*and then Frappe sat down and waited for someone to respnd XD*
Frappe sat back and admired as the rest of the dogs seemed to perk up, a noticable difference from their panic the night before. She sighed, half with content, and half with worry. Now they just needed to find a way home-to EVERYONES home. It wasn;t going to be easy, she already knew. She figured she should brace herself mentally for the road that they were going to have to walk. and there were no ruby slippers that would teleport them away from the dangers either.
Sheena sat up and smiled. "I'm glad we're going. If I know what Hecubus is thinking, its. I want to be home and now!" She laugh and playfully nudges Hecubus. "I'm glad to see you got your energy back. "
"Yes, we're going," Dinah answered for Sheena. She picked up a rabbit bone for Rolo to chew on later and trotted after Kendra and Kineta. Sha followed at a slower pace, limping but trying not to show it.<br /><br />Cobalt caught up with the rambunctious German shepherd pup easily and grinned at her. "You never heard the rest of my story. About meeting the golden squirrel, remember?"
Hecubus stared down at the flopping, cold wet thing that Sheena had pushed between his paws. It didn't look like his chow.."Miz Sheena? I think you forgot to take it out of the can thingy.." Sheena gave him a look, and then proceded to eat her fish. Heccy was slightly unsure, but his stomach sure wasn't. He didn't even chew, just grabbed the fish in his jaws and swallowed. It looked to him as if the makeshift pack was getting ready to travel, and he was all for that! He missed his warm doggie bed and his kennel mates. But he was loving hanging out with all of these strange and wonderful dogs. He went over and sat right in front of Sheena. "Are we going?"
Kineta quickly finsihed the fish she was eating and ran off towards where Sha had pointed. She did a quick turn around and looked back at everyone. "Lets go I bet the golden squirrel is this way!!" Then then did a few tight little circles before running off towards the road. She spotted something in the sun.... what was that? Shiny? In the tree..! She tilted her head at stared at it. <br><br> Kendra got up from eating her fish she felt soar and tired. "We'd best get going before she takes down the forest." Kendra walked slowly after Kineta she just was not feeling well.. she missed the comforts of home.
