Kendra jumps back in alarm tail between her legs. Shaking slightly then she notices the other dog is being friendly and starts to relax. After a few minutes of staring at this new dog she stands up straight and shakes her self off tail still between legs some. "I'm one of the Acester dogs, yes. I'm not a german shepherd though I'm a border collie.. I just live with them all. Are you one of the slytherin dogs?"
Frappe sighed, glad that the new dog had dropped the conversation about her being in love. "I think I've heard of Acester's kennels before, although I haven't been anywhere else but where I am now and my previous home. And what's a German Shepherd? I've also heard of them but I don't recall meeting any in my lifetime." Frappe followed Dinah over to where the new dog was. :I just hope it isn't a bear mixed German Shepherd, THAT would be scary." Frapp decided after making that statement to turn around and go back over to Hecubus. "I suddenly don't feel like trying my luck. Have fun Dinah!"
"Bear? Most bears are all right. Besides, if it was a bear you'd smell it." Dinah bared her teeth as though smelling something bad and then sneezed playfully and shook her fur again, shaking off this subject the way she'd shaken off the last one. "In love, are you?" Dinah dropped her prim pose and flopped onto her belly, then onto her side. She waved a paw at Frappe and thumped her tail on the ground. "That's so sweet!" From her position on the ground, she could see under some of the nearby bushes, and a flash of brown-and-grey fur caught her eyes. Dinah rolled back onto her belly and crawled toward the new dog, keeping her ears flat and trying not to seem threatening-- this new dog smelled of frustration and maybe a little fear... and something else-- German Shepherd? It suddenly clicked.<br /><br />"You're one of Acester's dogs, right? From that german shepherd kennel? My master brings home a lot of dogs from there."
"I think I'll pass Hecubus." Frappe just takes a paw and ruffles her tail. "Of course I've met him. I might've been too young to remember but I will always remember those beautiful eyes and beautiful coat, and oh, i think I'm in love again. Say, Dinah, do you hear that rustling in the bushes? Oh! Imagine it's a bear of some sort? Oh, I can't stand them."
Kendra runs and tries to jump through a tire on the agility course set up by the edge of the forest. She's half way through when her back legs catch and she falls flat on her face. Crying softly she gets back up her self confidence even lower than before. Then she realizes some of the maxed out dogs had seen her fail and were laughing at her. Kendra turns tail and dashes off to the edge of the forest not being able to handle their mean laughs. She wanders along the edge of the forest until she spots some other dogs! She quickly drops down low to the ground and rolls under a thick bush. She then turns her focus to watching them curiously unsure if these new dogs are friendly or not. Kendra then spots a quick flash of movement far past the dogs, something that looked dusk color.. she shakes her head guessing she's seeing things and goes back to watching the dogs.
A strange dog wanders in the distance, far enough into the woods not to be seen, but close enough to observe the commotion. The wind blew towards the strange dog, and he lifted his head. Tentatively smelling the other dogs' scents on the wind, he slowly advanced closer to the group. His dusky coloring allowed him to slip into the shadows, and he was agile enough to move quickly yet silently.
"Yes, very nice bug," Dinah replied, used to such antics from her own pups. "Don't eat it though, that kind tastes nasty."<br /><br />She sat down and wrapped her tail around her back legs primly, almost like a cat. "I hadn't heard that about Chip and Oreo. But you know male dogs. Always chasing whatever female is most receptive." She shook her fur as though shaking off the subject, and gave Frappe a sly look. "Speaking of male dogs, my master has been talking about you and Cobalt for ages." Dinah's head tilted to one side and she snorted. "Have you even met him?"
Who has absolutely no clue as to what Frappe and Dinah are discussing as his attention is fully on the bug he found crawling on the tennis ball. Being so young, he has the attention span of a flea. Following the bug, he walks right into Frappe, knocking himself onto his butt. 'Sorry man, didn't see you, check out this shiny bug!'
Frappe sat down and managed to lift a paw up high enough to facepalm. "You are by far the craziest dog I know, did you know that?" Of course, I think that Rolo just might be as crazy as you are. Meh, it runs in the blood I guess. ANYWAYS, (Frappe pauses to stand up and saunter over to Dinah) how are you and Chip doing? I heard that there is some competition between you and Oreo, the aussie. Of course, someone like him wouldn't stoop so low as to crossbreed, now would he? I say," Frappe grabs Dinah's collar, "that you put him on a tighter leash, my dear. You know what I mean?"
Frappe just looks away from Hecubus
"Ooh, I do!" Dinah jumped over Frappe and wagged her tail at Hecubus. "Let me have the ball!"
