We can't prove exactly how old it is, but we can prove that it is older than the Bible says it is. Much older.
How would one know how old the earth is? They're only educated guesses. I honestly don't think that anyone can PROVE how old the Earth is. In my humble opinion.
All I have to say is....creation is from religion. Religion is a faith, faith comes from belief.
There is no hard core evidence that Adam and Eve existed. At least I haven't seen any. Plus the bible was written after Jesus existed in some parts. The old testement is filled with stories that have morals. But some people believe it is 100% accurate, so I can't argue with them.
And Geist has a point with the soft tissues being preserved. We have carbon dating that helps us understand how old things are. Also the Earth is not 10,000 years old but Billions of years old.
Whenever people say that the world couldn't have come from nothing, I always say that neither could God. Where did God come from if he couldn't come from nothing?
Personally I beleive in creation. There is no way (in my mind atleast) That the whole universe was not created. I mean where did it come from? And no humans were around back then to tell us what happened so... I guess we will never know for sure.
Heeeere we go. Superdogs, I choose you!

"First, I would like to point out, that Evolution is a theory - nothing more, although some talk about it like it's a scientific law. Theories change over time."

The scientific sense of the word "theory" is not something you are familiar with, I guess. It is a solid scientific model that explains observations and allows scientists to make predictions through things like natural selection. And to clarify further, yes, natural selection does exist. "Predictions" as in guesses on what path the evolution will take due to the selections being made.
Gravity is a theory in the same way evolution is. Look it up.
And please, please, PLEASE read this.

"Besides the point, science cannot prove anything."

There are no words.

"Also lots of things are against the theory of Evolution. Just one example, soft tissue was found inside a T Rex bone. If the bone was millions of years old, obviously that wouldn't have been found."

You do realize that soft tissue can be preserved for a very, very long time, yes? The oldest human mummy known died around 6000 BC. That's pretty good for a highly intact cadaver. The T-Rex thigh bone was broken in the field, and the scientists didn't expose it to the usual chemicals, which left the soft tissue uncontaminated. A paleontologist took minerals from inside the thigh bone and exposed them to weak acids. The fossil mineral dissolved and exposed stretchy soft tissue. They were blood vessels, cells, and protein matrixes. And they were very similar to those found in ostriches. Does this still sound like it runs against the theory of evolution?

"I believe the Bible is the most accurate place to find the information of how the world began, and although creatures may change (dog breeding for example) I'm gonna give you a challenge. Work on breeding a cat, from just dogs. Good luck ;)"

Cats and dogs have a common ancestor. Millions of years ago, and long extinct by now. However, cats and dogs are now so incredibly different and have such a huge difference in chromosome number, that even with a million years on hand, I could not breed you a cat by selectively breeding dogs. That is NOT how evolution works. That is ridiculous, senseless, and mind-bogglingly irrelevant, and like asking us to, well.. Turn water into wine.

I could go on about the Bible quotes and the like, but I won't even bother. And I've read the Bible. I put no stock in it, though. Have your faith, I have nothing against that, but it's unwise to try to block out cold, hard fact with it.
"Wait, so years of science and experimentation and cold, hard facts are completely lying to us? Yet a book that was written thousands of years ago is absolute truth?

...How does that even make sense?DX

And you can't get a cat from a dog because they are not the same thing. People who say things like that drive me freaking crazy. That has absolutely nothing to do with evolution and proves nothing."

I agree completely.

I believe in evolution, but I also am willing to accept that evolution may be incorrect. But I definitely don't believe there's a man in the sky who happened to be a little creative and so made a world out of nothing and then made some animals and people to put on the world for his viewing pleasure. In the least sarcastic and mocking way possible. D:

Personally, I don't really mind how we got here. To me, it matters that we're here now. I'm far more interested in people and their minds than how we got here in the first place. The past is the past.
Wait, so years of science and experimentation and cold, hard facts are completely lying to us? Yet a book that was written thousands of years ago is absolute truth?

...How does that even make sense?DX

And you can't get a cat from a dog because they are not the same thing. People who say things like that drive me freaking crazy. That has absolutely nothing to do with evolution and proves nothing.
I believe in evolution. Dog breeding is a nice and simple example. Controlled by humans, yes, but it's still a form of natural selection and changed the wolf into an entirely new species. And this species itself has so many incredible variations, controlled by selection. Dogs being descended from wolves has been scientifically proven. It's not a matter in "believing" they did or not.

I personally believe creationism (as in 10,000 year old Earth, man existed with dinosaurs) is painfully absurd. If you want to believe a higher power guides evolution, fair enough. At least it doesn't run quite so violently contrary against hard facts, like the 'existing with dinosaurs' variation. Kent Hovind (some users in this thread have even cited him..) used to visit my area and try to give supposed evidence of Young Earth Creationism/"The Hovind Theory." Hovind is a man who believes the Loch Ness Monster exists.

And regarding dinosaurs and birds, here's a fun link:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29537188/

Also, this is old, but bothering me intensely.

"Dae hits it right on the nail by saying humans and primates are a different species."

Humans are primates; we belong to the Hominidae family, also known as the Great Ape family. We share it with animals like chimpanzees and gorillas. Chimpanzees, though, are a different species and are in a different genus. Homo sapiens is a species. Homo sapiens sapiens, which is us, is a subspecies. Homo sapiens idaltu is another subspecies, though they're obviously extinct.

"I agree. Nothing has, and nothing will, evolve into a human. It's not possible, and it can't happen."

As you are stating this as fact, please cite your references.

"Also, Neanderthals were proven a hoax a long time ago. They never existed."

Again, cite your references. I see nothing in the wiki regarding hoaxes. I know wikipedia certainly isn't infallible, but you'd think it would at least be mentioned.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neanderthal

"I love how this keeps coming up again and again. Interbreeding within a species -can- occur. It happens. But it doesn't prove evolution."

As you were talking about lions and tigers.. I don't think the word "species" means what you think it means. They are different species.

Imprint- "If you only believe in part of the Bible, what keeps you from believing the rest? It's like you believe in most of what the History books say, but decide that Hitler actually never existed."

If you choose to believe in the Bible, it actually might be wise to gloss over some of the things it says. Also, your comparison is flawed because you are presenting the Bible as if it is an accurate historical record of fully factual events.
